Ok some of you may be aware that I have been having problems with my clutch. I completely installed my h22 engine/tranny without checking the clutch. The damn thing was acting like the clutch was always engaged so I ripped the thing apart and found out the clutch was devistated. The disk was gone and it was wearing down the rivets. This left huge grooves in my flywheel. First, I got this motor here http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...e&item=300 16, and they haven't returned my phone call yet. Just wondering if peeps know these guys and how they do biz, because I think they owe me at least parts let alone labor. Second if that much damage occurred to my clutch and flywheel should I be worried about something else being wrong with this engine/transmision?

Hmotorsonline is a great place to buy a motor. They will take care of you just give them a chance. They are a busy place but everybody I know that has ever had a problem, had it taken care of. Remember though, you bought a "used" motor. They do check them out but it would be hard to check out a clutch unless you pulled the tranny on every motor. I think most people plan on replacing the clutch, timing belt and a few gaskets before they put a motor in their car anyway. You should AT LEAST check that stuff out before you put the motor in. Keep calling during normal hours and send them an email, they will get back to you.

You're right I should have checked it out before I installed it, but I was in a huge hurry to get to be able to drive to work on monday and didn't take the necessary time. Lesson learned and I hope everyone takes a look under the bell before installing. Thanks for the assurance. Definately will give them a chance to reemburse me no doubt about it :D. I will give a follow up if anyone is interested on how well they conduct biz.

Update. They conduct business horrible. Do not believe them when they say 100% gaurentee. Bullshit! Steve will not do anything for me. My cars clutch throwout bearing and flywheel are garbage. 250 dollars later and hours of labor I finally got the new ones in and am almost complete. Here are the pictures of the clutch.

Also you added nothing of value to this thread. Like I said earlier it was a time and money based decision to put it in there without checking or replacing the clutch. So F you and your comments douchebag. I had to drive 400 miles to a new job and had to get the thing together asap. Also if they told me the clutch and flywheel was or could be ripped to shit and grooved all to hell then I could have done what was needed, but they didn't, rather they claimed 100% gaurentee and refused to stand by their gaurentee. Now that it's all said and done they refused to help in any way, and acted very unapologeticly for my situation. I spent over 2000 for that engine, I deserve at least a little courtesy. I've got more costumer service for buying a pack of gum at a gas station. So if thats what your trying to contribute to this site that's here to help and incourage others, then kiss my ass.

he is telling you like it is...

they have a start up guarantee.
did it start and run? if so then be thankful you did not get a blown engine / tranny....
the clutch is a wear and tear part...
IT HAS TO BE REPLACED

you didnt even check so its on you... its easier and cheaper to replace when you receive swap..

consider it a lesson learned

you're an idiot for not replacing the clutch anyways.

:shrug2:

dont swap your daily.

you could have always waited for a long weekend, its not good to rush things, especially with a motor and transmission coming from a different country.

cmon, common sense! i'll contribute though.

get an ACT clutch.

whatever dudes. So it's all put back together. More problems. Leaks oil seemingly around the head gasket next to the timing belt cover. I guess that's suppose to be my fault too.

Just call them up and get them to have a look at it........

if your gonna swap your daily make sure you have a backup plan just incase it goes wrong

and for the clutch i think it would have been common sence to replace it or have a good fucking look at it before getting it all installed....

if they isntalled it ok shit on them

Hello people read this before you tell me it's common sense wtf? Any way I live in utah they are cali based so they can't really look at it. Not only called but sent them an email with pics. They didn't ever reply to that so I don't see how they will ever look at it.

keep calling them and inform them of the oil.... if they dont reply then well i guess your just up shit creek and going to go have to go get it looked at by a local......

Yeah we'll see what they say. I have been talking about this in another thread as well. I put it in the classifieds to attract peoples attention who are looking at making purchases. I thought this would be a good way to inform people about online business practices, so please stop with the annoying common sense remarks. Mr. Originality, look elsewhere to brand your rude and unwitty remarks. Thanks
