Hey Guys, My names Meg. I just moved from Springfield Missouri to Ft.Myers beach florida to go to school at Florida Gulf Coast. I'm an active member of MWSNS (midwest street and strip), KCSR (kansas city street racing), ComoSR (columbia street racing) and SpfldSR (springfield missouri street racing). I dont know anyone in my area and It's kinda scary, first thing I know to do is join the local forums...so my point, anyone know of the naples car community forum or anywhere close?? I dont know where this site is generaly pointed towards but I'd really like to get to know some people up here. :(
 
welcome, look through the forums here, we have a regional section. That should help narrow your search. We can't hang unless you wanna meet up in Montana lol

This seems like a cool site but my enitial question was if there was a forum closer to where I'm living (aka: maybe a naples or Ft.myers beach forum. I know naples has one of the biggest car communitys in the country I just dont know how to get to their forum or what its called).\

And yes I moved to Florida from Missouri. Lol. I really love missouri so I'm kind of scared. I left my home, my friends, my job, my puppy, the country...everything is so new. It's kind of depressing being in florida alone, such a beautiful place but I have no one here.

And I'm not sure what I'm getting yet to replace the celi. One of the stipulations to me moving down here and going to florida gulf coast was that my dad would get me a new convertible of my choice for the florida weather. Yeah I know, I know, daddys money. Lol. Oh well. It's a nice pay off for getting a scholarship. :) lol.
 
yeah, best bet is the regional forums.


there are also a TON of mirage/mitsubishi people in FL.
 
tamparacing.com is the biggest site in florida that i know of. don't know how close you are to tampa though.

Welcome to the forum... I hope we can help you out and I hope you enjoy your stay here. May I ask why you're getting rid of the Celica? Also, I know some of the members here who were part of KCSR... although the one I knew well moved to AZ.

I'll keep an eye on the news for a smashed up celica GT being pulled out of the swamp.

Join SCCA.. Visit your local Drag Strip.. Just keep it on the track. There are some nice tracks in florida.. And you dont have to worry about losing your license.. Or your life for that matter.

A. I'll be 18 in July with no tickets, wrecks or even pull overs on top of being in the "racing/car world" sense I was 14. So I'm pretty sure even if I wasnt getting rid of my Celica, you wouldnt be seeing it in the swamp anytime soon.I've been raised around it. I built my ex's 2004 GT Mustang from bone stock, took it to the track and ran it stock at a 13.9 then I put 4.10's, minor bolt on's, cold air intake, did his x-pipe and h-pipe, and a couple other minor things and then ran it again at a 12.5.

To the guy who asked why I'm getting rid of my celica, its a 96, its old and I was offered a brand new convertible of my choice for my scholarship, would you take that offer or stay with the celi? lol

o btw, thanks for all the welcomes. Anyone know anyone from the Ft.Myers Beach or Naples region? Someone show me around or something? lol
 
here is some what of a suggestion go to the gainsville race track on sundays, thats where the vehicular lunatics are at and the hang out somewhere in allachua county on wednesday nights.

I have no idea where either of those are or even how close they are to Ft.Myers or Naples. lol
