My AVS ES100s are fairly low, Not sure I want to drive to Texas even after just a simple rotation, so I started looking around for some performance all season tires.

56 dollars a piece, what are your thoughts?

Kumho Ecsta ASX

They're apparently decent in the snow, but not spectacular. Most likely I'll drive very rarely while the snow is falling once winter comes around.

Although, for being strictly summer/wet tires, the ES100s did not do that bad at all last winter. The only thing that sucks is on ice they'll just spin, but I imagine any tire is going to do that unless it's studded.

Any other ultra high - high all season performance tire suggestions will be appreciated.

This reminds me I've never wrote a review of the ES100s.

Once again, some Kumhos... these are slightly cheaper at 49 each, and the deep snow traction is worse... but still a decent deal I think.

Kumho Ecsta AST

Well i waited for four hours and got impatient.

I'm going to try out the Kumho Ecsta ASTs. I should have them by wednesday.

Lots of people like those tires

I got a set of BFG G-force sports recently. I was very pleased with them. And the price isnt bad at all.

this actually isn't spurging, it's just trying to keep the type of tires semi-close to what I'm now used to. lol

The ES100s were 280 shipped in 04. These were 245 shipped.

have you tried TireRack.com ? before if you havent there real good 2 days later a had mine

i was thinking getting some of those... but i went with the bfgoodrich g sport's. I like em so far, even though i havent pushed them to the limit yet... ive come close but not quite there yet..

All seasons are good if you truely plan on using them year round..

Maybe they did. Hell if I remember from 11 pm last night.

I searched 4 times before I committed to buying anything. The price killed them.

11 dollar difference between the 2.. oh well, its your money you spend the way you'd like.. i just read a lot of good reviews on the SPTs because i've been looking into new tires for about a month.. i dont just buy the same day i think about them

I've been thinking about them for a week. I just never made a post about it until yesterday. ;)

I don't like reading reviews. I don't drive the same as everyone else, so I'd rather just try something and then give my opinion. Instead of just basing my opinion on others opinions.

It's like saying the SPT is great. One guy loves them as a daily driver tire, but one guy hated them when he had them while autocrossing.

But both people neglect to mention what they used the tire for.

 .. .. . . ..

I wrote an initial review upon recieving these tires. I have since put 2 autoXs under my belt and can honestly say that these tires are fantastic in every concievable way. They are quiet, sticky, comfy and brilliant in the rain. I measured the tires after the AutoXs and I am showing almost zero wear. I am extremly impressed and will be buying these again. Allthough from the looks of it that will be a long time from now.
