I went in to throw the cash BDN gave me for rent into my checking so when I get paid I can pay some bills. Like my loan and mortgage.

The dumb bitch goes "you know your loan is deliquent?"

Yes. It was due yesterday. Yesterday was a holiday. You weren't open.

So I ask if I can pay it thursday when I get paid. They say yes. So what the fuck is the problem here? I have a 4 day grace period anyway, payday falls into that grace period. Chill.

If I could pay my bills without a checking account I would.

i used to hate banks, but thats because my first bank was Wells Fargo and they jew you out of all kinds of money.. i'm now with WaMu .. free banking FTW!

don't get into the habit of waiting till the day its due or using the grace period. pay it asap. rent should be due on the 1st, check goes out on the 15th if your billing date is the 28th.

I can't pay my mortgage that early, I have my car payment due on the 20th and insurance due on the 27th. Those go out from the prior weeks paychecks. Brian gives me rent from his second to last, or last paycheck of the month, which I'm 100% fine with.

I've never had a problem using grace periods. My credit score is 750, that should prove that.

If I didn't have a loan through them right now, I would seriously be checking out WaMu.

At least then I could use online banking and not have to pay 10 dollars to get an online account. Oh and I could use my ATM card to withdraw cash on the weekend.

Shes probably just required to tell you that. I know we are federally required to tell people if they are past due on their loans for auditing purposes. I wouldn't take it personally, shes just tryin to do her job.

Maybe when I get back from TX.

You should have seen how pissed I was when my account started going overdrawn in March. I was thinking what the fuck is going on here?

I get a slip in the mail friday, of course I don't open it until 10 pm. I was 150 in the hole.

So monday finally comes around, I wander in and go ok... I just put a paycheck in here last thursday, and my tax return last tuesday. No way I spent 1300 in 3 days.

Turns out the lady who put it in the account, put my tax return in my brothers account. She never asks us for our numbers, she just types in our last name and accidently scrolled on.

Shit like this keeps happening more and more here..

i do all my banking online.. my checks go directly to my bank.. only time i have to go there is to deposit a check or money order from selling something. . i get all my cash when i buy something.. "would you like cash back?" "yes please"

Same here except I even deposit any checks using the ATM machine a block from were I work. The last time I was at my actual bank was about 8 mo. ago when I took my 5 gal bucket of change in to pay for my snowboarding pass.

damn, you need to look around.

my bank has a -$500 leway, no charge, simply because i have direct deposit on my checking account.
if i over-draft, they know they will get their money back in a couple days, regardless

overdraft protection. Look into it. i have $500 monthly. If i overdraft, no charges to me but they will deduct whatever the debit was from my next credit, like B said.

what bank is that? I currently us wachovia. they are free with direct deposit, and free online banking and bill pay. I haven't bought checks in over 3 years.

small local town bank. they have about 7 branches in the neighboring areas

Mine is like B's. I'm with BECU. It's great.

pre-approved loans, etc.

Thats the other thing I hate about this place. It is a credit union, not technically a 'bank'. There is ONE location. Granted it's 3 blocks from my house, but ATM chargers are like 3.50 if I were to withdraw from another banks ATM, plus what my CU would charge.

They fuck you, then they turn you around and fuck you again. [/joe pesci]

:shrug2:

i don't pay atm fees, at my bank, or at other NYCE network atm's.

I use wachovia to pay my bills out of...but there hours suck. If you deposit anything after 3 pm it doesnt get posted to the next day and there hours on the weekend suck. I also have an account at Commerce bank there open 7 days a week and deposits are posted that night if there in by 6pm.

WaMu FTMFW. Wells Fargo actually gets their 'fees' from you when you use check cards. They will PURPOSELY overdraft you. You'll notice things will clear at specific times and intervals where you weren't overdrawn at all, but on one day about 28 of those things will clear and you're in the negative. I've tried this theory and was told by one of their own bankers that's how they make 'free' checking profitable. I've NEVER had this problem with WaMu (hell, I've even floated a few things) and they're awesome.
