All 4 are good bikes, go to the dealership and sit on every bike. the one that fits your body is the best bike for you.

No matter how bad ass peoples say dem Gixxers are, they aint shit if you can't stand the seating position.

If it's your first street bike, I'd look into a used Ninja EX500. they can be found pretty easily and are very easy to unload once you're ready to upgrade.

i have a 2007 r6 and love it. it comes down to what is comfortable and what you think looks the best. they all have similar features.

If those three bikes are what you really want, then you will see lots of differences between them.

The Ninja 650, for instance, is actually a very unique sport bike. It's got a standard type of handlebar, fuel injection, and some funky sounding exhaust. But the shape and stance of the bike is really flickable in the twisties. The YZF is actually an awesome bike and really fun to ride. But I have no experience with it personally.

And the Honda 599 is just totally different. The fork angle looks like something that's just comfortable, but the lack of fairings means you'll get buffetted by the wind a lot more than the others.

Good choice though, you're really thinking about what you need from a bike.

UNFORTUNATLY.....yeah is gonna be mah first bike so i want something that i can keep for very long time ..... so if i buy any of these bikes...i will keep it...so thats why im thinking in a new bike......:D

If it's your first bike, you have to break in the motor. That's tough when you're just learning how to even ride one.

I got a new bike for my first as well (Although, half the price that you're talking about). I managed to get the break in mostly correct, but it wasn't easy.

The Ninja EX500 is also, hp per pound, the same damned thing as the 650. The 500 is wider and lower. But the seat is the same, it's got a bigger tank and more effective (Read: HUGE) radiator. The 500's brakes aren't as nice as the others (Not by far) and the rear tire is also skinny (Something I have no problem with, but the looks annoy me)

WELL i think that aint gonna learn in this bike im gona be taking clases...moreover mah uncle is gonna give me som private classes.....i been thinking and maybe im gonna go wit the ninja 25/ or the the one the follow that one..........

I have a Ninja 250 right now.

I was going to upgrade next year, but I love this bike. It does everything well. Of course, I only weigh 135 pounds too. That makes life on a 250 very nice.

thats about what i weigh....so i think thats a good start and maybe later on i can get something faster:)

Faster - if you weigh as much as I do, the 250 will do 14 second 1/4s, beat most every car out there. The 250, and even Kawasaki's site says this, out corners and out-handles their track bikes. It gets average 65 mpg. It's not a mean sounding bike, nor will it pull wheelies, but even now I don't crave something faster.

I use 65 mpg WAY MORE than I would use the extra power. And my friends with 600-1000 cc bikes have problems keeping up with me on the twisties, and on main roads I'm just moving along with traffic.

Yeah, I can't do 130 mph on the highway, but I can do 75 all day long and get incredible mileage. More riding for the win !

sounds good man...... i just want a fun ride to commute to work which is around 30 mile away...then have some fun during weekends due to the fact that i dont work weekends.:D i love government jobs...........

My commute is almost 30 minutes, and the bike makes it totally awesome.

I would commute with a larger bike, but most of my riding is, honestly, a commute. I have to contend with traffic and keep in mind my expenses more and more.

The fact that I'm out of a car and now spending $10 a week to commute ($14 to fill the tank with high test) makes it all the more sweeter (My subaru is like $40 a week). That's like free lunch every day.

The 250 also has a single front disc, like the 500. The 250 weighs a lot less though, and it's SO GODDAM EASY to corner on that bike that its nuts. You don't need to push on the inside bar to keep it up (Like you do with heavier bikes). It's less fatiguing and in general, more pleasant.

I don't take the highway anymore, but even on the highway it's very pleasant. The 250 is still a "real sized" bike, and not a dinky scooter. I have power to pinch in and out of traffic patterns, and good visibility for those around me. When someone pulls out in front of me (Which happens like every 10 minutes) I have the riding control and performance to get away and leave everyone in the dust.

Water cooling also means I can sit in traffic and not really get hotter than 180 degrees. If I was aircooled, I'm pretty sure it would overheat.

Since I use it for commuting, I also have a bag (Look at the Celerity Ninja thread) that's pretty big. I don't even know that bag is there when I'm riding. But with that accessory I can bring everything but my laptop to work with me.

In the design of the 250 they've also included some things that are really convenient and brand specific. The wheels are heavy, and the gyroscopic effect starts at a low speed and keeps the light bike pretty damned stable.

And like I said, it corners like whoa.
