So I got my oil changed today, when I got home to drop off the Si and pick up the battle wagon to go back to the office Fedex stopped by and dropped off my gasket/exhaust collector - cat bolts/nuts/springs.

So when I got home again I told brian and he asked me if I wanted to work on the car, I said I needed his help so it's up to him too.

"Nah man it's up to you!" he says...

wtf... I need his help and it's completely up to me to boss him around?

No way. So just now he did something he's never done before.

Ever, since I've known him in 5 years I've had to slap him around and tell him what we should go do...

He made up his mind. He wants to go work on getting the exhaust done.

Without my coersion, without my making a decision for him. He made up his own mind.

Maybe this is a different BDN from the future, or another planet.

Should I be afraid that he's going to kill me in my sleep?
 
No, he's finally realizing that both of you are indecisive. We know what happens when indecisive people get together. Nothing gets done. He asked you because it's not HIS car to work on. You wanted help, you should have said, sure, if you don't mind helping me. See, it's not about telling, it's about asking. It's like that episode of Spongebob... 'I dunno what do YOU want to do today?' 'I dunno what do yooooou wanna do today?' Over and over...

Here's how it went down...

I asked him if he wanted to help me. He said it's up to you.

So it's up to me to decide if he wants to help me or not? what?

Or, if we go out to get some food... and it's his idea to go do so. I'll ask where you wanna eat? ... while sitting in the passenger side of his Focus.

but of course my answer for everything in high school was "i dont know"
