Alright i wan tto targa top my civic like the delsol does the chassis have the strength do handle this without other kinds of support basicaly cutting the portion of the roof from the top of the windshield to the back of the door frame will this hold let me know

Bad Idea, Period. not because you couldn't make it work, but because if you get in a side-collision with no roof you are gonna get killed. Same reason why TC's and Glass Top G6's aren't sold in Canada *They don't pass their saftey requirements for side-impact, the US lets them get away with it*

DO NOT DO IT!

okay, i'll lay it out visually for you.

take a car with a hard top, it will equate to a gallon jug.
now the structural integrity of a hard top is like trying to push in the sides of the jug... hinda hard to do.

now take the removable top car, that is like cutting the jug's top off.
now the integrity and rigidity of the jug has been affected, it is now way, way easier to push in the sides.

this is the same principal of having a removable top... the chassis and handling characteristics will be greatly affected. just a friendly warning if you like to drive your car a little harder.

There was a 1st Gen CRX Convertible forsale on ChitownRacing a while back *Dead Serious* Now THATS a screaming Death trap of a car if I've ever seen one. Dunno if it was custom or stock, but I assume custom, and I assume youd Die in ANY kind of colison

No. It was a special optional conversion done by Richard Straman Inc. His company made 310 of these CRX Conv from '85-87 for Honda and were available from your local Honda dealer. Real Straman Crx's have a Straman sticker in the drivers side door jam.

Man, Glasstop CRX's and Vert CRX's are both Death-Traps, I would wouldn't be caught dead in one... litereally.
