well... I came, I lurked, and on the general welcoming attitude of the board decided to sign up.

I dont have a honda (well I do but its a mower) and I don't own a FWD vehicle. Not that I dont like them, but I've got my hands full w/my current project which is swapping a roots style supercharged supercoupe engine into my 95 mustang. Its my first foray into supercharged engines but cash is tight lately so I'm at a stopping point on the major stuff and doing the little things currently. I found this board thru a post on what I consider my Home board 3.8 mustang.com. Although I admit I wasn't gonna sign up here (since I have very little to contribute to the board other than some off color remarks when I'm bored) but after "meeting" one of your mods on my other forums he seemed kinda cool so I figured wth why not. I might even learn something.

Not sure what else to say so I'll end it here....:cool:

oh.. yeah as my signature states.. my account isnt allowed to use img code. Is there a post count I have to reach before I can post a real sig or what?

If you mean you can't get a sig pic to show up, it's because the admin doesn't like sig pics. It helps the board run quicker for one thing.

but welcome, hope you enjoy your stay and learn a few things. :)
 
Welcome. I don't have a Honda either... ok, I have 4. :p But, I love CARS. ;) Don't feel bad that you don't get pictures... we don't either.
 
Ahhhh ok thats cool... thought it might be a newbie thing. Been on boards that are like that. Thanks for the welcome folks, TBH I expected some flaming for signing up for a honda site considering I own a mustang. Just might have to hang around a bit here and get to know some folks.:cool:

Nah we won't flame ya. Hell, make fun of our Hondas... some will join in with you. lol

Most of the mods/admins here don't even own a Honda anymore.

Nah.. I have respect for any car that can make horse power and respond well to mods. The only ones I make fun of are the local ricers who put shit loads of stickers, altezza tails, and a fart cannon on their moms old honda and rev at my mustang as i slowly creep down the street. Dont get me wrong Its not as fast as it will be when I'm done w/it (not fast at all currently sitting on jackstands in my garage) but those kids crack me up.:D

If this question is serious my answer would be this:

I see no need to start a forums war and I'm a bit quick w/the insults if insulted first. Ive tried a few other "Honda" forums and they all had a bunch of dicks who thought the sun rose and set in thier respective automobile of choice. Not to mention, as I told someone else I have nothing to contribute as I know next to nothing about honda engines other than they all have letters and numbers, and am in general an asshole who's outspoken and at times has been guilty of stirring up shit when bored.:ph34r:


now who's got some boobs to post in my welcome thread lol.
 
welcome to HondaSwap. i dont own a Honda either. i currently own a bagged 1995 Ford Ranger Splash and a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3.

yeah my last project was a 302'd 1993 ford ranger single cab.... talk about a pain in the ass.... I got around to shaving the emblems, door handles and frenching in a power antenna when it was stolen and wrapped around a light pole cause the moron who stole it couldnt handle the hp in such a light truck. Damn I miss that truck. Ever wanna drop a v8 in your ranger let me know I got a ton of tips to make it easier also a few sites to get the now easier install shit (headers, wiring, motor mounts, none of which was available to me when I first started)

Damn this place is friendly... nothing like I thought it'd be.

cool. when i get to that point, i will give ya a holler. before i do any engine stuff tho, i wanna body drop it and lay rocker :) were you ever a member at RangerPowerSports.com? i go over there occasionally as a lurker pretty much...
 
Welcome to the swap. I am one of the guilty mods that no longer owns a Honda. I turned into a truck guy. My gf owns a honda if that counts.

You've already seen mine. :p But, I wanted to comment on your first response. Exactly how I feel. I respect anything that impresses me. Innovations, speed, torque, horsepower, handling... it could be a friggin' Beetle. It is what it is. :) I couldn't agree with you more. This is why you will fit in well here. :) This is not 'Hater Tech' :p I hate most other Honda forums...

No unfortunately when I started my engine swap it was before I discovered the joys of forum boards. I did most of it by trial and error and after the engine and tranny nightmare was over I found a ranger forums where I got the idea to french in the power antenna and shave the emblems and door handles. While there I also discovered that they make swap kits that make it SOOOO much easier.

and I'm not sure who Ji is... and weather or not I'm mild compared to him... uhh.. just testing the waters thus far... soon as I figure out the parameters of whats a scoldable offense and whats pretty much banned immediately for... eh.. we'll see what happens.:cool::ph34r:

yup read those... but there are certian things that will get one booted quickly that aren't in the rules... gotta learn which people its ok to mess with and which ones to leave alone.

Dont worry I'm not a blatant trouble starter, but as I said I do like to stir up shit from time to time when its slow or I'm bored.^_^
