I'd still put my money on Lesner.

He would certainly romp Lidell in my opinion by overpowering Liddell and taking him down. Liddell was never an ideal fighter in my eyes but I liked that he would be exciting to watch, in terms of technique he simply doesn't have the best technique

Rampage would be more up in the air but I think with Lesner's size and experience he would be able to push Rampage into a corner, close the distance, and take him down and end the fight from there. I really don't see anyone out there right now that can definitely stop Lesner.

ok so yeah i like lesnar and all, but
emelianenko (either one) > *

that was the worst fight i've ever seen.

that was the greatest fight you have ever seen
that was the most splendid display of sheer talent and skill ever to be caught on video
that was the most awesome display of awesomeness since the advent of the concept of awesome

you are simply too stupid, too untrained, too ignorant, and too full of hateraide to realize what you have just seen

hahaha.

Yeah, the guy looks like an untrained fighter with brute power who was so pumped on adrenaline because of his first fight that he threw everything into it. Now let's see what he can do against a real challenge. He can punch hard and undoubtedly work the ground, but how's his fight strategy when the outcome isn't fixed, the action isn't choreographed, and the blows coming back at him are as real as the ones he's throwing?

In fact, let's give him six months and see if actually is on top of the MMA world. Because once again, that was the point of the previous argument.
Frankly if he stays in K1 with basically no weight classes Bob Sapp will kick the ever loving shit out of him. Same brute power, same powerful punches, only Bob Sapp is nearly 400 pounds of muscle.

He needs to go to Pride or UFC and face someone his own weight who has some skill to back it up because frankly Lesnar can punch as hard as he wants, if he can't get out of an armbar, kimora, etc. He will lose every fight he ever enters versus someone truly trained in MIXED martial arts.

DING DING DING!!!

The only thing we learned about Lesner is that he can fall on people and punch really hard.... He didnt display ANY real thorough technique nor did he show any of his skills... so its hard to say that he'll be dominant or not. Judging someones career based off of ONE (read: first) fight is stupid. OMG HE MADE THE GUY TAP OUT FROM PUNCHES!!! so fucking what, what's going to happen when he gets into a fight that actually requires Lesner to use more than just some punches?? You didnt get to see his guard abilities, you didnt get to see his submission techniques or his submission defense, you didnt get to see 98% of what goes into MMA to make a well rounded fighter.. so get off Lesners nuts. Honestly, im not impressed. Big dude topples onto not as big dude and bigger dude throws his weight around and lands some heavy punches... wow, thats great.. ;)

You're right, wrestiling is the best thing ever. Do you want some oil?

I wonder how Royce Gracie would do in today's UFC..

I wonder how today's fighters would do in a 1993 UFC where you could work the ground as long as you wanted, throw headbutts, elbow to the top/back of the head/ etc

Gracie doesn't belong in todays UFC, the rounds are to short and the rules were rewritten to keep people off the ground. It was the only thing they could do to change the fact that ground fighting is the most dominant aspect of no holds barred. They did it to make the fights more exciting and I don't blame them from a business perspective.

Shows how much I know..

I only catch UFC when it happens to be on... Havent seen him in years.

I do miss the old UFC though. Its going the way of wrestling now.. Too many rules, lots of drama.

Someone should start an online petition/request to have a old ufc style tourny. Bracket fights, no gloves, no weight classes. I bet TONS of ufc fans (if not all) would be more than happy to pay 40 bucks to watch it.

btw, ill put 2.50 up, is that good enough? :p
