ok so im getting ready to do another project car and i need some help... ok first i dont want any year later then a 95, and no sooner then a 93... and i want it a civic hatchback... now what kind of civic should it be and is the BEST posible engine that would easyly fit in the car with most power? with no money limit... what would be the first best thing to do to the car, parts wise and tranny wise to make a hella quick civic? thx

Any 92-95 civic hatchback is the same. Go for an Si if you want the extra bling factor and a cleaner build or a CX for less weight if you're simply a speed demon (you can also rip out most of the interior if you want). Buy a complete K20 changeover from hmotorsonline. You will need to buy hasport motor mounts to hold that bad boy in your engine bay. First thing to do is always i/h/e and you can opt to slap on a low psi turbo and tune the car on a dyno. I don't know all that much about K series personally but if you can afford it, it's the best you can buy right now. Without a money limit, you could build the block, strap it to a massive turbo and walk all over stock block (or mildly built) turbo B18Cs.

ok i have a few questions, how hard is the k20 engine swaps? i have heard these are pritty hard, what would be the basic things i need to look forward to? and what does i/h/e mean? thx, u gave me pritty much everything i was looking for

i/h/e = Intake, Header, Exhaust (Basic bolt-on parts)

Hasport and others make K series mounting kits. Expect to pay alot for a K20a Type R engine ~ $5500 - $6500 alone, difficult swap, but would be rare and rewarding.

A B18C would be much cheaper and easier to buy/install and I agree with "That Guy" with a Turbo + Tuning you'd be damn quick.

If you dont want to turbo and you want something cheaper then a K20 then go with an H22 swap, there are more resources for an H22 swap then a K-series swap.

Good Luck

ok w8, what is so difficalt about the k20 swap? what kind of problems would i be running into?.. and wat would produce more power? the k20 or the b18 or h22? wats the benifits of each? and what would be best if i had around 10 grand
