ok well as it seems i had my car checked out the other day and has been off the road for a lil while with clutch problems :( but discovered some more problems + its been put together with stolen parts  as my worst nightmares would have it a mad range of rusts (ive come to l♥ve my lil whoremobile)
ill take some pics if i get an opportunity too

so it has come that i may soon need to dispose of my car for legal purposes aswell as physical reasons and buy a new one (yayish)

ok so what do people think for a new honda?

im thinking of maybe spending at most around 5k if need be and either on a 2nd gen crx, a eg or maybe even a teg

Yeesh!

If you can find a rex, I say go for it. They're fun little cars and with gas the way it is these days, you can't beat the MPGs. If it's just a daily you need with lots of space, get a late 80's Accord. You can get one anywhere just about and they're cheap. I just got mine for 1400 bucks and for what I got it's a steal.

who honestly gives a shit if a 1986 civic has a stolen fender in it?
are they serious?
why would they even check a mid 80's honda for stolen parts???
did you say it was rebuilt salvage or something?

ahh actually if it was just a bumper they would laugh it off....

its around 89% stolen

turns out many many years ago 3 owners ago it had a smash and was restored

but yeah im looking for an eg or something that is a daily/do up car

crx might be nice but i dunno what the rear seats will be like but an eg will be alot easier to do up but a mirage may be nice.....

i saw a perfect 88hatch that was pretty nice for the price but 1 word made me run the other way....Vtec seeing as all superchargers/turbo's are illegal for p platers like myself

A totally riced out one will set me back around 4k ^_^ and de-ricing shouldnt be to hard
And a totally riced out eg *whipes vomit off face* should be around 5k (as shown below)

do you still have the car?
i would say chop the front clip and sell it on US ebay as a RHD conversion

austrailia doesn't get many us muscle cars guys...
wow someone has been reading there how to speak australian book
we do have muscle cars just not torino's....we have a torana and our newest pride and joy....what you call a pontiac gto ^_^

jesus christ...these kids....didnt you ever watch STARSKY & HUTCH!?

ahh yeah we got starsky and hutch.....but my sister may have watched it....i sure as shit didnt ;)

ahh yeah all vtec engine are illegal for p-platers now (well the ones who are getting theres)

in australia we are complicated unlike americans who get there FULL license at 17.....we have to wait untill at the very least 21 to have a full license :(

well car is at a garage and should probably be getting moved soon once i know what the fuck is going on .... i think the front might be the small percentage not stolen....if so i may have to consider that

but in some sought of good news ive found a possible new replacement if the worst were to happen.....

yes ladies and germans another 86 hatch ^_^..............

did i mention no rust :D whatsoever

i'm still not following on the whole stolen car thing
do your cars needs to get every panel VIN inspected or something?
here you could switch a dash vin and throw the car on the road, there'd only be a problem if they checked the firewall, and all the other VIN's hidden on the vehicle

ok well to drag the short story long........

no not every vin panel is normally checked.....normally its just the odvious ones you can see....
infact it wasnt up untill a few hours before i posted my terrible misfortune

(i thought i had problems when the mechanic called me earlier that day saying there is alot of rust)

but as my shitty shit mc shit luck would have it many years ago the fool who owned this car had a accident and went to a bikey auto repair shop  (story gets better just hold on)

and as it would turn out they had stolen a ew just the same as mine a few years before and salvaged what they could from the wrecked donor car and changed over 1 or 2 VIN numbersover to the stolen car therefore what ive been driving for the past 6+ months....is yes stolen property

the bikey gang actually kept records of the stolen vin numbers  and when they got busted a couple of years ago (around my bday when i was about to recieve the car) they started looking for the stolen cars
(my car layed dormant on a front lawn for around 1 year during this time)

and seeing as the rta (the australian version of the dmv) are such kind people they realised oh my gawd this kid is driving a stolen car and called the cops....

seeing as the cops are too stupid  to look for a L plater driving around in a 86 honda civic hatchback(mind you the car has been parked half a mile down the road from the nearest police station) they left it for a lil while and put some sought of order out so if the car was found it would be reported and dealt with from there.....

the mechanic i had look at my car to get a new clutch a tune up and a few other things soughted out for me....

he decided it was a good idea ;) to pretty much completely pull the car apart and replace some wiring and have a look at a few more things  and discovered the 2 different vin numbers and called the rta about it and then the cops were at his shop....

so now my car has been put back together then moved to a appropriate area for them to inspect the car (ofcourse restripped) then once there done with that they can ask me and the previous owners some questions (from stolen and unstolen parties)

and then if im lucky i will have a car when there done (lets just hope the previous original owners of the 80 something % are more then happy to settle it easily) and then i have to worry about the dickheads who did my blue slip putting 4 completely different tyres on the car (not supposed to pass rego with 4 different tyres) and the cops wont look at me kindly with that

well that is how ive had it explained to me by the police officers and my mechanic
any more questions?

so yes kids that is how australia likes to work when it comes to gang crime and stolen cars ^_^

ooh, that explains it

so how is the car 80-90% stolen, lol
sounds like its 100% stolen, and was just re-vin'ed

would have been fine if they didn't keep records of all the cars they chopped
