How wide should wheels be for a honda civic. i found a set that are 17x7 that i love but i could have sworn that most people get 17x7.5 and i didn't want the stance to look weird on the car

no not performance...better question how wide are the stock wheels on a civic steelies or like si wheels
si's are 15x6. if you want performance, get a 15x7 with a 195/50 or a 205/50. if you LIKE 17's, get them.

like these??

Most people that have 17" wheels have 17x7.

Most 15" wheels are 15x5.5 or 15x6.

17x7 will fit fine on most civics. On my 07 I have 17x7 with 215/45 tires.

yeah those are the ones sorry i haven't been on had to send my computer out...crashed...but does anyone see how sweet those could look on a civic without the center cap of course...swich it for a better one or paint it...but another question i'm looking to upgrade to a wide body are these wheels going to look weird since the body will be noticeably wider than the wheels

you want to keep an eye on the offset of them if your worried about stance, personally i wouldn't get anything bigger than 16's and even they look too big for a civic.

ok i know big wheels are mostly associated with ricers but aren't lower profile tires known to improve handling...i mean why would sports cars and bmws and such use the if they didn't
