i have got a 00 ex coupe, just swapped the d16y8 out with a 98 b18c1. while i was waiting on tires i started it up let it idle, rev it up a few times, everything sounded ok. when i got tires i fired it up hit the road, the car started bogging and not more than 100 ft blam oil hit the winshield. YES I CRIED:(. i turned it off and pushed it back in the drive way. found two golf tee sized holes in the webs of the block below the left piston(closest to the tranny). what the hell did i do wrong. keep in mind this is my first import swap but im not new to motors. if the iac or cps or was wired wrong would that cause this? im not 100% i wired those correct. but it seemed like it was ok before i started out.

anybody?

naa, swapping those two would make it run like ass, not throw a rod.

Could have had a spun bearing.. Was this motor freshly built or used? Where did it come from?

Crazy question.. you did remember to put oil in it, right?

it was freshly built and yes i doubled no triple checked the oil.. i left three quarts righ in the middle of the road.

You may have popped the head gasket, sucked in the coolant and then tried to compress it (not healthy) When you pull the motor apart check the head gasket on the offending cylinder, other than that who knows.
