Has anyone had problems with H22 trany's

Ive heard bad things about the trany in the H22 , like that they break alot, has anyone else heard this , or experienced this , ???
Im talking about a H22 in a 95 civic hatch

yes the tranys are weak and i had two break and my friend's do to.

but you must be driving them hard right ?, and how long since you installed the motor did the trany blow ?

i have turbo h22 eg no problems with the tranny but i have problems with the shift linkage after a while they snap on me

really , i heard the hatch's dont handle well on the road course, due to the heavy front end with an h22a in it ?

if you do an h22 eg hatch you pretty much are going in a straight line, but if you suspension work it can be done

it handles great. we have 2 cars. an h22 hatch and a b18c itr hatch. they are identical cars except the h22 has a little more torque.

his h22 hatch is great. i have driven it several times. the power is great. anybody who says h22's are for drag racing only, either cant drive, have never driven an h22 hatch or have shitty suspension.

depends on budget. k-series has the most power. b18c is the easiest but is a little spendy. b18b is a great budget swap.

yea i meant to say excluding k series , but do you mean a b18b head on a h22 block ? cause im thinkin about hybrids

you mean non/vtec block with a vtec head?

if budget isn't an issue, you could use a b20 block with an itr head.

if you have a small budget, ls block with b16 head would still be good.
