how hot should the CPU in my laptop be getting? i have it sitting on my desk at home and none of the air vents are blocked. I dl'ed a small program taht monitors the temps and it says the cpu is getting to 78 celsius. When i notice its getting hot it slows down dramatically and thats usually when i'm working on something important so its a pain in the ass.

How's The Battery? Lot Of Heat Generated From The Battery If It's Worn Out

I've tried lifting it off the desk and that didn't do much at all. as far as the battery, it should be fine, the computer is a year and a half old. as far as taking the covers off, i'll try that later.

anyone have an idea of what temp is about average for it? its a Dell inspiron 6000, pentium m processor, i think its a 2.7ghz.

also, has anyone tried one of those things you set your laptops on with the fans under it?

So i bought the Targus CoolMat. it has fans that plug into the usb port. it works damn good. brought my cpu temp down about 20 degrees celsius. For $30 i guess it was worth it.

yes i had the same thing it use to work real good
