I'm looking to make my put some ITB's on my b16. I'd like to stay with honda parts if possible, so what are my choices for the highest power/response? I've never worked with N/A engines befroe but have alot of experiance with forced induction setups. Will i have to run some form of standalone if i go with the ITB's? any suggestions on what standalone to run.

Staying with Honda parts isn't going to be possible, unless you purchase a set of CBR1000RR throttle bodies and build your own ITB setup. Your best bet for bolt-on easiness would be TWM ITB's + Hondata S300.
 
yeah i was going to build my own setup. why aren't ITB's streetable?
 
thank god i live in texas where when i say individual throttle bodies, the cops says ida-what ?
 
well, i'm still going to use them...WI is pretty relaxed with autos. so anyone have any advice? my neighbor is a cop, and i'm running around with a 425whp 3in turboback exhaust that's the loudest exhaust i've ever heard. And i've never been pulled over for it, so ITB's should be no problem at all.

That depends on where you live. Over here, they're completely legal so long as your car passes emissions(for 96+ cars). My old 88 CRX , with straight pipe exhaust, passed inspection and I drove by cops with no problems.

Your best bet is aftermarket ITB's from TWM, etc. Motorcycle ITB's maybe too small for a high power goal unless you get ones from bigger bikes(+1000cc bikes; anything above 42mm diameter).

Crome has a plug-in that supports ITB's. If you want to run a stand-alone, VEMS/Megasquirt work great, and then there's AEM EMS and many others like Motec, Haltech, etc.
 
A tuned manifold will make more peak HP than tuned ITB's.

Main advantages(when tuned): broader torque band and higher throttle response.
 
Vtec makes me want to stick my manhood into it with ITB. Too bad it would hurt soo bad.
