I just picked 1994 Honda Civic. It has a D16 in it. A freind of mine who has a Turbo Charged MR2 Said since its only the single cam engine I can get away boosting it with out doing any work replacing the rods and such. Does anyone know if its true or not?

I figured before I did anything with it I would ask the people that know.

on a stock d series keep it under 7ppsi..7400 rpm.. and 200 hp. what ever comes first

you can boost the d16 no problem.. pick up a log manifold and a quick spooling turbo off a older DSM with some blue top injector make plate for oyur mani run your oil lines get a cheap intercooler and oyur all set.. you can boost 10psi no problem on stock internals

Tell your friend that he is a retard, and any honda engine..maybe with the exception of the type r's can be boosted. It's all in the tune =]

i'd say keep it at 5psi depending on which turbo you have. We had a guy come in with a stock D15B, and on its first full pull on the dyno, put down 208whp and 180tq... (at 7psi) but as the car got to 7000 rpm, the rods folded and 3 cylinders were kaputz. it was carnage.
