Ok so I have a ls/vtec in my 90 crx. I have a jumper harness with a chipped and socketed p28. When the chipped p28 is in my car it runs but red lines at 4k. When I take it out and put it in my buddies 93 ls/vtec hatch it runs fine red lines at 9k like it's suppose to. Now wen I put a stock p28 in my car it runs fine and red lines normal how ever no vtec. but it doesnt kick vtec at any time. Im not really worrying about the vtec. Just mainly the 4k red line. .....Pls Let me know if you kno anything. I really need my car for this weekend.
 
Any sort of codes showing up? I think I read some where on here that if there are any issues with the injectors that it wouldn't rev past 4k to make sure your motor don't get messed up. So if its chipped and doesn't work, but yet with out the chip it works right with out vtec then I would assume the chip is bad or something wasn't correctly installed. What chip are you using also? -Gary

Not sure....I bought my ecu from McCarron ECU Services
But when the ecu is in anyother car it works fine. So Im not sure. I dont think It is the chip.
 
Ok. So it works in the other car. I must have missed that one. It sounds like a limp home mode, and I could have swore that if there was an injector issue that it would flip out like that but it would be throwing a code I believe and also I might be wrong. -Gary
