$50.00 less and a free 3 year warranty, too bad you have a 33% chance of it breaking and having down time while waiting for MS to fix it.

the new reported machine coming out with the price drop for the 360 is called the "falcon 360"

Sony is canning the 30GB model and an 80GB is to replace the price point of the 60GB. Some places are even throwing in an extra controller along with 5 BR movies.

Some bad news, the new 80GB will have SOFTWARE emulation ONLY. This means some if not majority of the old PS1/2 games will not play properly and have upscaling.

They're reeling me in.. $100 price drop.. GT5 coming soon..

Its getting harder and harder to wait. I'll probably break down and buy one when gt5 is released. GT has been infamous about missing release dates by a year though, so maybe we'll sneak in another price drop.

lol you need to read up a bit more. Elite is the same damn thing as the normal 360 just with the HDMI and larger drive.

This is only a limited time thing, sony will be releasing their 80gb and that will be back at 600 bucks. I guess they're only dropping the price on their 60gb ones temporarily til they sell out in about a month.

price drop is a close out sale on the 60gb when they are gone the 80gb will be back at the normal price. Also from what i understand the 80gb won't be backwards compatible with ps2 and 1.

Well I wouldn't care about the backward-compatibility issue with the PS3, cuz I have a PS2 and I can just simply use the PS2 to play PS2 and PS1 games if they won't work on the PS3.
