I have a B16 and I want to build it as a turbo application, I am looking for some advice, on parts that will hold up and what machine work to get done to get the most out of this engine. Is it better to leave it the 1.6L or stroke it to a 1.8L with a 1.6L head. I have a bunch of questions about this and if anyone could help me out that would be great I will worry about the turbo and ECU when I figure out what is going in to the motor, I have also had people tell me to just build a GSR motor but I have the SI motor already and I will buy a different transmission. Because I don't think the SI transmission is going to be strong enough and I will need different gear ratios. I would like to scrap the every thing but the block and head. If you could message me that would be great. Thanks and any help would be great.

i've heard you can boost a b16 up to 350hp on stock internals.. dont ask how.. i dont know

Well I'm in a B16 build myself and I'm leaving it stock bore and stroke. I say aftermarket rods and pistons is a must! I don't know if you saw the Dsport B16 build that made 600+ whp on a 81.5mm bore and stock stroke. But theres proof for you! I shooting for 400whp myself, as for transmission, I think the stock gearing should be fine and no need for a gsr since a b16 has a littler closer gearing!

Thanks guys I know that I want 400-500whp if I can get more then great I know alot of port and polishing and head work is going to have to be done, I was thinking while I did that I mind as well replace the crank rods and pistons I use to work for a racing company called Midwest Motorsports but they delt with chevy V-8 and we would not even think of using the stock crank out of one of those. Why is a civic crank able to handle that much horsepower? I would like to start building this soon what kind of turbo kit would be the best for the most power for the money. Help with head parts and what internals are best would be great as well, or a few sites as well to kinda get me started. Thanks again.
