tach install

im trying to install a aftermarket tach in my 89 crx si and i cant figure out what wire to splice the green wire that will give me the proper rpm, can someone that has installed a aftermarket tach help me out. thanks

the blue wire from the 2-wire connector at the distributor is the tach signal wire

what wire is it when it plugs into the ecu

it doesn't go to the ECU - the blue wire runs from the distributor to the gauge cluster

oooooh ok thanks alot for the info, i have it spliced up to the orange wire that goes into the ecu. i feel like a retard, lol
