Which ones will have cars that have the least amount to no rust at all?

even on the underbody? I'm sure there's no possible way to get 100% rust free, but the least amount the best.

Well I don't know about the underbody cuz I can't really see it while I'm passing the car, but the notorious area for most cars (wheel wells, fenders, bumpers) are pretty much non-existent around here.

basically, stay away from anywhere where it snows, or where the salt water from the ocean will hit it. so basically any non-coastal region of the south. arizona and new mexico probably have the best bodies in terms of corosion... but probably have faded paint/dashes from the sun...

:werd:

The "native" cars here in NC don't rust. Only cars that have rust was one that was wrecked during the winter(driven through snow) and sat for like 2 years, and my car which is originally from Utah. This lady that used to live down the street from me had some old 50s or 60s Chevy shell, and only had light surface rust where there was no paint. It was sitting for like 15 years.

Alaska. Think about it, The car is preserved in a frozen state 70% of the time and we don't use salt on the roads at all. If you can find one that isnt smashed from sliding into someone on ice, you're golden. 1st gen civics are notorious for rust, yet mine was almost completely rust free.

Tell me about it I live here in Utah where it snows like a mugga-fugga, we get salt like a son-of-a from the Great Salt Lake and salt on the roads in the winter and its sunny as hell in the summer we got up to 104 degrees I think like 2 days ago and theres no signs of slowing.

So all in all Utah probably has the worst shape vehicles you can imagine.:(

new mexico ftw!

i'm from new mex and can vouch for the no rust - in fact every time i buy a car i look there first. regarding dash fading - most new mex people i know have super tint on the windows and a dash mat. no fade on my 89 CRX's dash - but the fukker still ended up cracked, sigh.

ps oklahoma seems good too.

we went down to philly a couple weekends back and were amazed at the lack of rust there
just some food for thought but i don't think they use salt on the roads

Texas! (non-coastal, of course)

Great place for rust free cars. The native CRXs don't even have the rear fender rust..
