After two years of no motorcycle i finally got one today.

2001 Honda CBR F4i
2 helmets
front and rear bike stands

its in good condition with some cosmetic damage.


Got it for $2900.

Im so fucking excited:D

I've seen R1s for less..... all in how bad they''re messed up.

Either way, fun bike. I still like riding mine. =)

sweet. i'm not sure about the exact years, but thats about the timeframe when they most models started crossing over to fuel injected.

i'm excited to see the pics.
 
its fuel injected and responsive as hell.

the damage is minor. a few hail sized dents in the gas tank and some scratches here and there.

my last bike was a 93 ninja 600r, rebuilt motor and carns were jetted to 1000. it was pretty quick. but i wrecked it, a moving truck pulled out and blocked the road as i was comming around a curb and i went into the side. fucked me and my bike up.

well i was goin down a backroad on my way to work. i came around a curve and the truck pulled out and blocked the whole road. i locked up the brakes and went right into the side of it.
couldnt go left bc theres was a ditch and a concrete driveway, same on the right.
so i woke up in the ambulance. and passed out. all in all i remember about 30 seconds of that whole day.
totaled the bike completely. and fucked me up pretty bad. couldnt walk for about a week. my leg was in an immobilizer. and my face was completly yellow and blue.
so thats about it. took 2 years to get my lawsuit settlement and i only got 5000.
i was pissed but what am i to do about it. i got fucked.:angry2:
 
I just came up on a white/red (same colors) 2001 F4i crash like 2 hours ago, I helped the guy load the bike onto a trailer, most every plastic was cracked or scuffed, forks were messed up, front gauges out of wack, dinted tank, engine cover was cracked, oil all over the place.

fun stuff.

His front tire washed out around 20-30 mph.


Again, this is why people need to start on a cheap bike. One low speed F up and you're bike is near totaled or totaled.

He said he was going to rebuild it himself, if he took it to his insurance company they would easily total the bike.
 
damn that sucks. im pretty glad that i started off with the ninja that i had, while the engine was strong and ran great the body wasnt that pretty, needed some new plastic. i only paid 1300 for it, and i know i gotta good deal bc i worked at the bike shop that did all the motor work on it. but im much happpier with the cbr. and i will have better pics up today or tomorow, my friend has the camara and is slow to do shit.
 
went for a nice long drive today, so much fun. im gonna put some memory foam or something in the seat bc my ass hurts so fucking much.

only problem is that damn cct. noise is so fucking annoying. so im gonna replace it once i get the money. should i do a writeup? dont know how many people on this site would find it useful.
 
The memory foam is great for 1 second. Then it compresses under the weight of your ass and effectively becomes hard as a rock. If your ass is moving up and down on the bumps, then the foam doesn't expand fast enough to cushion anything.

First off, you ride, not drive. =) Second off, get off your ass, unless you're riding on the highway your ass shouldn't be on that seat too often. It is but it isn't, your ass should be moving from side to side, when making hard turns my thigh is pretty much the only thing touching the seat. and if you are riding the highways you need to get off them. highways FTL!

CCT is stupid simple up to the very last part where you need to get lucky with getting the 2 bolts off/back on the CCT. very little room.

pretty much you just take the side cover off, unbolt the front of the tank, prop it up with a piece of wood. and dig for the 2 CCT bolts remove and replace.

CBRWorld.net has a few picture guides. already done.

BTW if you're really worried about the seat (pansy) you can buy an aftermarket gel seat.
