I've been looking for a track car lately and came across a 93 civic cx hatch, with a 1994 gsr engine swap (35k on the motor) with i/h/e.

How much should this car run on the 1/4 mile with street tires?

Thanks

theres realy noway to know for sure to much will come into play, but im guessing mid 13s to high 14s

like track temp. air temp, driver that kind of stuff

well ofcourse, but let's say under decent temp. conditions, and an experienced driver..would it be able to hit mid to high 13s?

missed the biggest thing: elevation. Where I'm at it would do a high 15 low 16. I doubt it will ever touch a 13 with bolt ons at sea level

if thats all it will do at any level i would sell it for 25 bucks

you wont get high 13's in a gsr with i/h/e. you are looking at the 14.4-14.8 range. i've seen it and driven it both.

if you want high 13's, you will need lsd and drag radials/slicks.

maybe he is right about the elevation thing,
but any GSR hatchbacks around here regardless of trim are running high 13-low 14
but I have never in my life seen one run a 15 anything unless there was a problem

gsr hatch will never hit 13's......best would be a low 14. Only was to possibly hit a high 13 would be with slicks and a very GOOD driver

I think that the question of elevation is what is coming into play here, different people from different areas would see different times depending on the elevation.
I have seen LS integras hit 15 flat with I/E on street tires, I personally ran a DA integra 15.2 with I/H/E on 17" wheels, when I put the same engine into my old civic I got 15.0 then 14.5 with b16 pistons and a tune, and finally 14.2 with the b16 obd0 head and no tune, then I wrecked the car before I got it tuned again, but people always said that the engine couldn't run those times unless a professional was driving with slicks, not the case then, we're also talking almost 7 years ago with these times, but still.
But different areas of the world will see different track times for identical setups with nearly the same driving skill because of the track conditions, which includes elevation.
