i have a integra with a b18a1 i plan to swap a b20 into it is the best way to go

then I would find myself a jdm b18.

your motor has more hp why would you downgrade?

That depends on which B20 he's talking about. The B20B makes 126 horse, but the B20Z makes 146 ponies. Also keep in mind that's it not all about horsepower. Both B20 engines make more torque than the B18A1 does, and at lower RPMs.

Do you just go around saying random stuff that makes no sense? There's so many versions of the B18, you need to be more specific. And just because something is JDM doesn't necessarily mean it's better. If you don't really know what you're talking about then no need to respond.

And to the original poster, I'm not exactly sure what your question is. Are you asking if the B20 is an acceptable swap motor? Yes, you'll be fine with a B20 in your Integra. If you want to keep things simple though, go with another B18A1. If you do the B20 swap you're going to need to do an OBD conversion.

OBD = On Board Diagnostics System.

Your car is either OBD-0 or OBD-1, depending on the year. Any B20 that you get is going to be OBD-2, since they started putting those out in the 97 CR-V. You'll either have to convert your car to OBD-2, or convert the motor to whatever your car is. It will be easier to convert the motor to whatever your car is.

oh i see that wont b a problem the guys who r doing the swap will take care of the hp downgrade wont bother me too much these guy will do wat they have to get more power

Yeah if somebody else is doing it for you then they will sort out the wiring issues. And yeah, the B20 will be fine for your car. Like I said, it's got more torque than the B18A1 does, so I doubt you'll notice a performance downgrade.

i need info also on b20 swap into my 93 teg b/c thats wat im thinkin bout doin. thx...im in michagan also.

The easiest way to swap a B20 into an Integra is to keep everything stock from the head gasket up. Just swap the bottom ends and you won't have to change any of the electronics- reuse everything you have already, and keep your B18 intake manifold too. The B20's won't fit very well under your hood anyway.

You don't even have to swap heads, just the intake manifolds and in some cases the valve cover too.

yea but wat about turbo???

so if i swap the bottom of the b18a1 for the b20's will i be able to run turbo with the bottom being stock??also keeping the head off the b18 won't it be able to rev higher than the b20's??
