b20block b16head VS b18c5 type R
In a 94 civic hatch si

which would you rather have, and which is better for tuning for more power ?

well, the C5 isnt the ideal motor for boost.. but neither is the b20/v .. if boost is what you want i'd go with a b18a/b or b16

I like to make power down low so I'd pick the CR-VTEC over the ITR.

Couldn't agree with you more. Another thing is just think of price differences. I'm building an lsvtec right now and At the end I won't be anywhere near 5k of spending and I'll walk an ITR. But I have always loved the c5. it's the price that always gets me.

ok but, can you boost a lsvtec , and how much boost do you need for 300whp RELIABLY ?

well, buy an F1 then.. or you could stick a streetbike muffler on your car and it'll sound like an F1 car

lol, nice, i jus want it to rev as close to a f1 as possible, like any REAL honda/acura should

Not trying to be an asshole, but do some research before you come asking questions. To have a motor that will rev to 8k SAFELY, you will have to build the motor to withstand 8k RPM's. Just because you slap a B16 head on an LS block doesn't mean it will rev to 8k reliably. Just like my LS, I could buy a chip off egay that will allow my car to redline at 8,500 RPM's. CAN it do it? Yes. Is it safe? Hell no. It'd probably come apart after doing that a few times.

lol, i never said it would , i was asking that question actually , look up a couple post's and see where i said " ok what does it rev to? "

I might show my ignorance here but...

hey im not trying to start an argument, its just my taste, and a fully tuned teg type R , will rev out to 14 500

REALLY??? That would be one hell of a tune.
If you want something that revs and you don't have to do anything to it, get a Type-R and have fun. For your sake, do some research before you put a wrench to any engine you buy.

when i say tuned , i ment full racing cams, and outher top of the line bolt ons , or internal components , but thats all big $
