Man vs. Wild a fake??

he sure does have an unnatural passion for pissing on himself or ingesting urine. it is a little strange.

not really surprising at all

my biggest problem with the show is how careless and dangerous he is at times and that a lot of his advice is just piss poor
i realize that he has shit tons of mountaineering experience but the average Joe watching the show does not, and its not really all that safe to go running and sliding down a fucking mountain, or tie together some rappelling gear out of vines and rappel down a 100ft waterfall

makes for good TV but its VERY shitty advice

i prefer survivorman
seems a bit more "real" and has beter advice

it's not something a 'normal' person would do... i guess Bear was trained by England forces or something to be like what our navy SEALs are... but, I still watch it.

SurvivorMan> Man vs Mild anyday

I thought I saw an episode once, turns out I was watching a german porno. THat guy is all about some pea

infact I told somebody I was going camping yesterday after watching too much Man V Wild and they said "well don't drink your urine"

WTF?

I might build an A framw while I'm out camping though, I'll post pics

wrong

Aron Ralston is the ultimate surviver

While on a canyoneering trip in Blue John Canyon (near Moab, Utah), a boulder fell and pinned his right forearm, crushing it. After five days of trying to lift and break the boulder, a dehydrated and delirious Ralston bowed his arm against the chockstone and snapped the radius and ulna bones. Using the dull blade on his multiuse tool, he cut the soft tissue around the break. He then used the tool's pliers to tear at the tougher tendons

I heard about that dude. Didn't he go back and find his arm so he could have a funeral for it? Crazy shit.

wrong.

Timothy Treadwell (April 29, 1957–October 5, 2003) was an American environmentalist and bear enthusiast who lived among the coastal brown bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska for approximately 13 seasons. At the end of his thirteenth season in the park in 2003, he and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed and partially eaten by a brown bear.

Yeah the guy who cut off his own arm is hardcore but the bear story has something the other one doesn't: a punchline.

Ralston FTW! That takes some fuckin balls and intense pain to amputate your own arm with a pair of pliers.

survivorman is better than bear grylls. its funny i was having this same argument at a party 2 nights ago. the main thing i liked about survivorman was that he took his own camera equipment. bear has people following him around. they can and would help if bear was in real trouble. Les Stroud wouldnt have anyone, just like any other joe schmoe stranded in the middle of nowhere. also Les is more of an opportunist. he uses what he has. if you notice most of his episodes hes stranded with a broken down truck, or a down airplane, or a broken snow mobile. he just seems to give advice aimed at the normal person, not someone trained in the british special forces.

and yea, that ralston guy is BA.

Timothy is some dumbshit who thought wild bears were harmless, etc. He didn't have to survive there; it was his decision to pretty much live with the bears. Ironic, that he was killed by the very bears he was trying to "save".

Chris Rock:"those bears didn't go crazy, those bears went wild fucking bear". hahaha

ROFL! Those guys were getting into this argument over these 2 shows. But if you think about it... how much bad luck can that dude have. Oh my ... my truck this week, snow mobile the next. Oh snap my airplane goes down this week. That dude must have broken 7 mirriors for that bad luck.

That's sarcasm right? They put him in situations that may happen to a normal person.

But yea, I prefer SurvivorMan but I watch both. I love camping and shit like that though. I'm going to go get lost in the woods, Peace. haha

i'm just looking at the two guys' credentials. Bear's been through special forces training, etc. Sure, they might be famous now and have tons of cash, but he's been in those situations before. The other show is good too, but I'm not sure who that guy is... he doesn't 'act' very smart sometimes.
