RETIRED
I need to raise some cash for closing costs on my house.... so i need to unload some coins.

link in my sig to my auctions.

some good deals and some bulk lots in there.

all starting at .01 and no reserve!

which ones would be a good buy?? thinking about buying some

those unopened boxes.. are those rolls of $1 coins?

they are all good buys up to a certain price.... the auction will dictate that :D

the unopened boxes are the washington pres coins

try hitting the "macro" button on your camera for better close up pics...usually a button with a little picture of a flower. also, on some camera's, you can put it in "super macro" in the manual mode but pushing and holding the macro button

i did... i have a tulip icon. :( my camera sucks at those types of photos. great for outdoors and long range shots.

ohh well, its a woot-off point and clik special. nothing expensive by any means

why didn't you set any reserves? aren't you worried about losing money?

reserves cost listing fees, and discourage people to keep bidding if they bid and see it hasn't hit their reserve.

there's only one auction i'm concered with not hitting what i want for it. the rest will surely end up turning me a profit, since i bought most of these items long ago.

its amazing how many people are watching that $10 platnum coin :D
hint hint

If I didn't just pay an absurd amount of money for three summer courses I would try to steal half of your lot.

yeah, i REALLY don't want to sell any of these.... but the house is a good investment too. closing costs just suck ass. you CANT finance them or add them on to your mortgage at all, so you have to pay cash. i'm about 4 grand short of the 8500 i need for closing :( so, i'm hoping to raise 4 grand or so here.....

You think you gave those auctions enough time to reach the type of prices needed to raise 4 grand?

Are you trying to sell some of the stuff you have in the garage/shed in your parents house and in your own house?

there's plenty of time. most of my auctions already have 5-10 watchers. the coin bidders wait to the last minuet to try to get the best deal. if i put it for 7 days, i wouldn't get any bids until the last 2 days anyway.... and no one wants to wait for stuff :D

that platnum coin should turn in around a grand, and both proof set collections should be over a grand. the 7 morgans should be 800 bucks or more, and the rest i'm hoping to fill in the remaning money to hit my mark

last 12 hrs the bids are gonna go nuts.. you'll make your money easy how things are looking now with 2 days left still.. you hardly see that much action that early

We'll the auctions are starting at $.01 of course thats going to generate interest.

Do the bid increments jump as the price increases? As in, the increments may be $1.50 now but when the coin is $1000 will the increments be higher?

I usually just use an auction sniper, that bids up until my max bid, with 3 seconds remaining in the auction, so I never pay attention to the increments.

Good luck on getting the four grand, it sounds like you know that you're going to pull it off, already.

yea, the bid increments increase.. i know that when it reaches $100, they go up to $2.50 instead of $.50 or what ever it is.. i'm sure it gets higher as the auction price gets higher

He made $2,591.86.

Well, assuming all of his buyers actually paid up.

they didn't do as well as i though thye would. chris helped me out last minuete to save me from losing my shirt on the no-reserve auctions :D

i think its because i ended them on saturday afternoon. i wasn't thinking when i listed them...
