Is there a list of turbo kits to stay away from?

Iam not sure anymore about what turbo kit companys to stay away from.

I do remember that xs, SSAutochrome and turbonetics are not a reptuable source.

I have heard mixed stories about them. Some love them because of the better performance aspects for less money but i've also heard the opposite too. That they over boast the numbers on them or some crap. Its rumors so I really dont know for sure. BUT after the BS with SS Autoshit I usually sway away from anything with iffy results.

greddy is a decent kit.. may be smog legal too

after looking at that site.. i see they make one for a Del Sol VTEC.. that means i can technically have one smog legal on my swapped hatch.. woot!!.. time to start saving up $2400

Or you could build whatever turbo setup you want and slap a fake Greddy CARB sticker on it

After looking the linked one says they use a greddy turbo but I dont know. its not hard to put a housing set on bad inturnals.

But would it be a respectable turbo kit? Yes I know building one would be cheaper but sourcing parts is quite diffacult sometimes.

Turbo systems vary greatly, for 2K you could build a system that woops the shit out of the Greedy kit which costs more. But I know you're all about bein legal beagle in Cali, so it's probably worth it to you.
