hey guys im doing an everyday driver ls/vtec. i have a 92 integra ls. I am going to keep the block and getting a 95 gsr head. i am doing a complete rebuild on the block and getting new valves for the head as some of the valves are craked. i am going all gsr pumps and timing belt.
-Which Pistons should i buy the p73 integra type r, pct civic type r or b16a civic si?
-Also should i invest in some apr rod and head bolts?
Please help 1st time builder here.

i'd go with p30 pistons.

but check you compression here.. find what combination you want

I agree...Using stock cams would be ideal for the p30's. If you're gonna use stock cams why up the compression? A "stock" ls/vtec is good for a daily driver.

Edit: I know p30s will raise the compression. I meant keeping it moderate. lol. Didn't want to confuse anyone.

compr. would be about 11.8:1 with p30s.. with JDM p73s it'll be about 11.5:1

That's wierd. I always thought it would be closer to 11.2:1. Especially with a stock head. Everyones wrong sometimes. I may be missing someting here but aren't p73's higher in compression?

Nevermind...just used that calculator. That thing is neat. Aren't p30's also easier to use with stock rods. I know there's something you need to do to get p73's to fit with stock ls rods. Am i correct.

the GSR head on the LS block will make the compression a little higher than a b16/itr head due to the smaller combustion chamber.. and no the p73s aren't higher in compression than p30s...
