i was also wondering how much do you think it would cost to have a k24 swap in a 95 delsol if i already have the engine

start with the hasport mounts. they're expensive, but look into it. you're gonna need it. then, hasport should have a swap guide on their site. also, try searching this site. that's all i have.

I hope you have the transmission too, because your stock d-series tranny is not going to bolt up to that motor, not even close...

And even if you do have the motor, tranny, and ECU, it's still gonna cost you a buttload of money. If you have to ask how much it's going to cost, then that means you probably aren't doing it yourself. I'd say a couple grand at least, maybe more...

well i was gonna try to do it myself cuz my bro knows alot about hondas (even though he has a sentra) but how much would it cost to do the b16 swap cuz i need a little extra power cuz the 125 horses aint cutting it

everything he just said is correct also. i was gonna say that, but since you already had the stuff, i was just gonna leave it alone. but yeah, k=expensive, complicated.

well if i can do the b16 or even maybe the b18 for less than the k 24 (prettyshurr it would be) i would do that and just sell the engine and buy a b16 but would my tranny still work with the b16 and would i be able to turbo without doing so much work on the internals cuz i dont got too much money

sorry, you posted the same time as me, and i didn't see your post.
yes, b16 or b18 is going to be cheaper.
whether you should sell your k series stuff is an oppinion i'm not knowledgable enough to give, but if you didn't have anything, b series would be a heck of alot cheaper, even with turbo.
yes, you can run turbo on a stock b series, but at small psi. not anything crazy nice. so, you might find yourself upgrading the internals eventually.
no, your d series trans won't work on anything NOT d series.
also, the mounts for b series are ALOT cheaper than k.
word of advice, try to go with the same obd engine as your car is designed(should be obd1 looking at your stats. also, there is writeups in the reference section, as well as elsewhere on what the swaps consist of, and which ones are not easy, etc... i'd suggest looking into it before you venture down a road you can't turn back.

you will need aftermarket mounts for anything not d series.
as well as other things(axles, wiring, etc..(anything not included with the swap that you buy, that you still need(dependant on the swap that you do))).

alittle old thread but better then starting a new one

where can i find mounts for a k20 swap into a del sol they dont have them on hasport or can i use the same motor mounts for a k series swap on a 92-95 civic?
