ls vtec 92 integra .. is it possable?

your car is turbo correct? then why would you even bother with the vtec head, just up the boost abit for more power but search around the site and you could find out how to do the build but here's the link.

yea it was a turbo but it had a cheap ass ebay kit and when i bought it it had alot of shaft play so i took everything off and put a stock header back on and now im get the 3000.00 turbonetics kit .. and the reason i want a b16 vtec head is because it will take the compression down witch is what i need for forced induction.. i just need to know if it fits alright and if the vtec wiring is a bitch.. if i can get this engine combo to work omg look out mustangs.. hell i already put them to shame in my town on all motor.. as it is.. well thanks for the advice peace

if you do the vtec head swap it will boost your compression up, just install some lower comp pistons and then turbo it.

and the reason i want a b16 vtec head is because it will take the compression down witch is what i need for forced induction

What are you talking about??? Adding a VTEC head will bump your compression up, not take it down. Plus, to really take advantage of VTEC, you'll need a shorter-geared Si, GSR, or Type R transmission.

Your stock compression ratio and transmission gearing are already a good fit for turbo...just buy the Turbonetics kit and go from there.

so man can you tell me if this will work and everything will bolt up and how hard is it to wire the vtec up? or should i just find a whole b16 swap and go from there?

ok wtf ever

alright if your not ganna awnser what i asked then shut your mouth ... and no thats not what its about .. you idiot its about the right engine combo build a 200 hp motor and then go turbo ..only way your ganna puch good numbers.. so if you have no idea what i want to know then keep your trap shut bitchs

So your going to tell me that you can't get close to 200hp out of a b18 or B20?

yes and no

dude when your building a b18a1 no its not that easy unless you build the bottom end with about 1000.00 then the head 500.00 and then a good turbo kit 3000 or more.. im just wanting to throw a b16 head on the b18a1 and then turbo it.. this is my everyday driver and theres a budget

dont put the b16 head on it, its not nessasary, for all motor cars you raise compression, if you want to make good power with a turbo you lower compression. why would you up compression and then turbo it, you wont be able to run nearly as much boost. not to mention that the b18b can take damn near 300 hp on a stock bottom end. instead of wasting your money to get vtec, use that money to build your bottom end (block guard, low comp forged pistons, oem rings, racing rods, metal head gasket, studs) then turbo it and the thing will be able to handle loads of boost

thanks

thanks man finally someone thats not a smart ass lol.. that is what i already decided to do .. im on a 3000.00 budget and im just ganna completly build the bottom end with the best parts i can get arius and eagle and should i use the rings that come with the arius piston or get oem rings?and well im also ganna just build my head with new springs retainers vaLVES and port and polish.. if i do all of this do you think i will have atleast 200 hp i mean hell its already 140 stock and i have cams cam gears and pullys with skunk 2 exaust so it shouldnt be too hard to get there huh? well if you have any hints on parts to get send a link here./ thanks man when i get everything built im going to the track and will have it filmed witch will be on youtube..

Why are you so stuck on reaching 200 horsepower before you turbo? There's really no need to set that kind of goal, because if you want to reach 200 horses without a turbo, then you'd probably want to do a VTEC head, raise the compression, add cams, do all kinds of bolt ons, etc., stuff that you shouldn't be doing if you plan on going turbo later.

Forget about the 200 horses without turbo goal, just focus on preparing the motor for boost with all the stuff that c97x was talking about, like a block guard, low compression forged pistons, heavy duty head studs, etc.

Who says it won't work? All we're saying is a VTEC head is not a necessity to make decent power on a turbo B18, and you shouldn't really worry about reaching 200 horses before the turbo, just worry about making sure the engine is setup properly.

no one said it wont work, but your gonna dump alot of money into it, more than you expect. and its still not going to be as powerful as you want. the only way i would do this would be if i were going all motor. after your done building it you wont even have money for the turbo. if your really that determained to get vtec just take your 3k and buy the integra b18c (gsr) swap and put it in. then you have a nice strong motor, the ls/vtec is only reliable when built right, personaly i wouldnt want to have one...

ill laugh at the end of the day because i spent 1000bucks on turbo kit that will still be way faster than an ls/vtec or gsr swap

shit man cp is the way to go thats all i got to say make sure you get head studs too so your head wont lift off
