B16A3 not starting help

Alright I finally rewired the harness and everything is plugged in... I tried starting it but no go, it wants to turn over but no ignition... :shrug2: I looked back under the hood for a problem and saw a connector looking for a home... Its located behind the block and branches off the loom under the intake manifold next to the firewall engine mount... If it helps, this B16A3 was running w/ a turbo, but not any more...
I don't know what the prob is but maybe its the connector not being fastened somewhere? Its the only connector hanging around... I could be wrong but maybe its the knock sensor I keep reading about??? I've been searching the forums about this, and if this is the prob where would I connect the sensor, and where would I pin it into the ecu???
Does anyone have an idea of what the prob may be? I'll give as much info I can to anyone who knows what I should be looking for... I've been on this project for a few months now and I'm almost done, any help would be awesome thanks.

Make sure that you didn't mix up the map sensor and the tps. They are the same plug and go on either but if you mix them up it won't start.

its turning over but just not quite starting? that plug could be to the knock sensor, what wiring harness did you use and what car is it in? what obd are you running?

I did a b16 into ek coupe using the stock harness. Knock sensor will not cause it to not start, go to the throttle body and swap the tps and the map sensor plugs and then try it. I mixed these up and had the same starting issue as you.

When I turn the key the starter turns the motor but will not start.... Its a 93 civic ex 2dr. and I Swapped out the D16Z6 for a B16A3. The A3 is out of a 94 del sol. I tried using the b16 harness, but later into the process I found out that it wasn't necessary. Talk about a waste of time, not to mention how pissed off I was.
What does tps stand for just so I know? Anyways I'll look for these plugs and try swapping them... Keeping my fingers crossed.

hmmm

Nope that connector I mentioned goes to the o2 sensor... As for the other connectors they are all in the right spots...
The guy I got the motor from had spliced into the injector wires for some reason... They went to something but I don't know at this point. He used to run a turbo, thats prolly why the wires were cut?? He cut 4 wires, Yellow w/ a black line... I just want my car to run again.. anyways I reattached these wires but I dunno if it matters what order they should be crimped. Does this make any sense?

The injector wires that he snipped probably had 10watt 10 ohm resistors on them because he was probably using some DSM injectors or something similar.

It matters which wires go to which plugs and injectors or they won't be firing in the correct order. I hope they aren't crimped and that they are soldered with heat shrink on them.

umm yea

Thanks, and that solves 1 question... I crimped them together, and taped the shit out of them w/ electrical tape... I have a soldering gun but I don't wanna connect them that way until they are in the right order. Is there a way to find the correct placement w/ a voltage tester or something??? What should I be looking for?

Just to try and make it a little easier for a mental picture... He had the yellow w/black line injector wires cut by the injector clips before they connect... They were all rewired individually to 4 separate wires, and disconnected from the original injector loom. and from where the wires were cut, A single wire was soldered to the 4 wires before the injectors.

{} {} {} {} -injectors

\ \ \ \ -new spliced wires going nowhere

| -Single soldered wire to 4 wires in loom, also going nowhere
