my mom has neck cancer. :(

we found out about 2 weeks ago and today as we speak she's under the knife. the cancer is concentrated on her right part of the tongue but has spread to her lymph nodes in her neck.

i dropped her off @ 6am and i am going back at 2. my wife is on her way now to be there in case of anything.

i am so sad. my mom is my dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, she is everything to me. i've tried to be strong in front of her. but i'm dying inside.

after i dropped her off i had to stop the car because i coudnt drive. the thought of something going wrong keeps going through my head and the tears just start flowing.

i have never in my life felt this way. i dont like it, i feel like some one is sucking the life out of me slowly.

ohh man....

what a test of character this is.

i cant type anymore. :(:(:(:(:(:(

sorry to hear man... a friends dad had cancer in his neck, he turned fine now.. having had cancer and being through more than you could imagine, i feel ya.. its not an easy thing to deal with.. i had to go through a 12 hr surgery to remove a 5lb tumor around my kidney.. it was about the size of a grapefruit.... now i have a huge scar on my stomach from where the 44 staples were

thank you
now remembering i dont know if it was the lymph or her thyroid gland...

this is so crazy right now.... the time is just going so slow for me right now.

wow, sorry to hear that man
best of luck to her and your family

yeah. around that time.

the wife is on the way.

i wish i could be there now but i have to get some hrs in, because all the expenses i'm going to have might catch up to me.... she is going to recover at the house and i have to pay for everything AND im having a baby...

geez...

i so overwhelmed

What stage is she?

So long as you caught the cancer earlier enough, then modern medicine should be more than adequate to put her into remission, even if it means a few surgeries to make sure the doctors got it all.

The problem with cancer isn't when its concentrated, its when its spread and starts attacking vital organs.

My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and my grandfather is a prostate cancer survivor.

Best of luck.

just spoke with the wife.

she still in there, and probably for another 2hrs...

actually its not.

any type of cancer is a bad position.

like that curb your enthusiasm episode were larry david tells the guy that he had the good lou gehrig's disease.

today she picked up the phone when i called, but she's not picking up know.

i'm taking the lap top so i might get wi-fi

she is up and off the morphine for now. the speech doctor came in and looked and her and decided that she could have clear liquids. she is not that swollen and the neck wound looks good....
