Hey I need help identifying this trance song, please help me out, I recently just started to listen to trance and have no idea where this song is from but I've heard it before.

Download trance.wav

I swear that its not something stupid, I recorded the audio with my cell phone so the quality isn't so good. Pissedofsol I know that you love to listen to trance if you could help me out it would be much appreciated.

Robert Miles is the original artist... but I think the remix is done by Paul Van Dyk. I may be wrong.

pauk van dyk is like a lot of the popular people out there in the "trance" world (tiesto, etc...)
they play stuff that other people create... they just put it together in a set list that sounds good and flows well for an hour or two
very few of them are playing anything that they actually created

Exactly. Most DJs take the original and use a sound editing program to add their own shit to it. Hell, it could be done by someone else, all you need to know is the original artist and normally you can find many remixes.

Awesome guys thanks a lot!

Can you guys recommend anymore songs like this? I'm completely hooked on trance now, they actually caught me doing pretend raving for fun with some glow sticks that they picked up for Halloween and now my parents are going nuts, they think I'm crazy. I hear them downstairs 'I think hes doing drugs you should go talk to him'. :laughing1:

online radio stations would probly be your best place to start
then you will know the name and artist when you hear someting you like

digitally imported is great for trance. I like harder house and hard trance like Brooklyn Bounce for instance, but you'll probably like Gigi D'Agostino, BT, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Keoki, Mars/Mystre, etc. I like faster stuff too like happy hardcore and real dark hardcore... but it's upwards of 180bpm.

theres another song that isnt on the soundtrack too, its the one digweed spun right before it went into heavenscent, the label said Xtacy or something like that, i cant remember been awhile since ive seen it, bad ass trance song though

the whole reason i bought the soundtrack and it wasnt even on there :(

i like jungle, drum and bass, happy hardcore, and ambiant trance, most popular "trance" is actually closer to garbage house dance mixes...

spent several years in the rave scene before it got all popular and basically turned into the same shit that the clubs were... people lost track of what it was really all about and started focusing on the drugs more than the music ... then it got really cliquey... i was out of it for about a year after my accident... went back and it was all little 15 year olds runing around hopped up on X trying to be cool "ravers"
it was sad to see it go

+1 E. It's really sad. Go to Burning Man with me. :D That's what ravers do when they grow up, right? Yes, I mention the 'big' names because they're recognizable. If you want to know who I personally like... Blumchen, DJ Tronic, DJ Cloudskipper, Scooter, Brisk, Ham, Scott Brown, Delta 9, Buzz Fuzz, Ophidian, Nosferatu, TommyKnocker... I could go on for hours. I recommend the Masters of Hardcore series with the Thunderdome diaries.

Ah, the good ol' days.

yea, sucked big time, just like the whole car tuner scene, thanks to the F&F all these teenie boppers are running around calling the shit NOS

other then that, Im a hard house/Chicago/UK Break beats and dark DnB kinda guy. Trance i dig though, expecially Micro

Sorry to burst your bubble, Eros, but idiots in the Honda/Import Tuning scene have been around longer than FnF. It just made it more universal. Sadly.

wasnt that off the movie groove??

Hahahahahaaaa I was in the original Groove Movie before they sold it at Sundance, my friend was helping on it and they needed a DJ I got a call and went to the shoot in a warehouse in SF. WOOT WOOT.
Then they replaced me with John Digweed I think or was it Sasha ahhh whatever same person in my opinion. On that note I have one more thing to say and that's........ Trance Sucks. I am done
Edit:
Misti - You like Mars & Mystre????
DnB rules anything Aphrodite ROCKS, check out Aphrodite Aftershock freaking awesome.

Wow. I know the site they filmed at. Been there numerous times. I don't like Mars & Mystre much anymore, I know them personally... along with MANY other people you all would know. But, many of us from that phase have moved on to bigger things. I wonder if Dutch is still around. Most of the guys I know are from Italy or the UK. I miss those crazy long nights. You should come up here. By the way, Aphrodite's bootlegs are awesome.
