Rest In Peace
Today was the wife's 40th birthday...so I decided to take her out to a decent place...$70 per person...all you can eat seafood and steak buffet... Nordic Lodge, Charlestown, RI

She piled down two plates of salad, 2 lobsters, a few crab legs...and she was stuffed.:)

I...on the other hand gorged myself...

4 lobsters, 8 king crab legs, an Angus steak, slab of roast beef, huge super chocolate cake, and other things....

Hmmm....$70 bucks is a little pricey, and it looks a little hoakey (i dont know, ive never been there). Check out Fogo de Chao (they have one in baltimore, i dont know how close that is to you). I never had to wait for food....the waiters were always around with plenty of lamb, ribs, steak, anything you could want....and i never got to the bottom of a glass without a waiter being right there offering a refill.

The cheesecake below was literally 6 inches tall.....and was better than anything ive had at the cheesecake factory.

All of that looks fucking amazing. Honest question though... What does your wife say when you just whip out your camera and start snapping picks at dinner? I'm pretty curious.

Doesn't matter what the place is like, bottom line, all you can eat sea food.

lobers right now are 18.99 a lb crab legs run about 12.99 a lb

Those two alone at market price are more then he paid for, plus they were cooked for him.

right now lobster should be around 10-12 bucks at cost per lb.

His wife already knows he's fucked in the head. I doubt she thinks anything of it.

She was taking pics as well....and posting it on her Japanese myspace webpage....just like I am doing here....:D

For the life of me, I'll never figure out why Japanese people take pictures of food.

That and rednecks. And you're both, for god's sake.

Everybody had camera's out taking pics of everything in that place...normal I guess when your chowwing down on near perfect food....want to remember it to the last plate.:p

And the $70 has the tip included in it...at 12% gratuity or something like that. Two cokes, and a coffee for me was also in that price. Well worth it IMHO. I do want to go again when I am really hungry...maybe we local HS'ers should toss a meet up there or something. Steak, Lobster, Crab...and then some Mohegan Sun casino action....:D:D:D

Haha, what great responses. Well, it does seem you two are meant for each other.
Hey Cel, I'm a redneck and I don't take pictures of my food. Wait, does it count if I take the pics before it becomes dinner?

If you were from the east coast you would know that the Nordic Lodge is amazing, it used to be $40 a person but has increased to $70 in the past years.

We had a spot here in my town that was all you can eat crab legs (snow crab, I think) and steak, shrimp, whatever sides you might want.. No lobster, though.

It was $10/person. buffet style. all you can eat. Crab was great, steaks were mediocre, but for $10, who cares? I think I'm responsible for putting that place out of business. I ate there ALOT.

I take that back, I was talking about it here..

Europeans and Japanese take pictures of food.

Koreans own pictures of food and look at them frequently.

Middle Easterners eat pictures.

Snow crab legs > 2-3 different type of crab legs> shrimp > lobster > blue crab

=)

Lobsters suck for restaurants, a restaurant wants to have a 20% food cost, so if they pay 4 bucks for your food they need to sell it at 20.00

With lobsters even selling them for 20-30 bucks, they're still coming no where close to their target food cost.

"Honey, you seen my Tux that I wore to the prom ? The Photo shoot is in one hour, that Lobster gets totally pissed when I'm late!"
