Hey! I have a problem. i bought a 94 civic and none of my dash lights work. so at night i cant see how fast im going. I have checked the fuses and its not that. My check Engine light works. and the seatbelt light works. but my high beam light dont work and i dont know if any of the others work. the guy i bought it from rigged some strobes on the dash.they are supposed to go in the headlights but i guess he couldnt get them to work so he put them on the dash! i really dont know what it is.. or how to fix it. i need some help.

is it possible that there is a short in one of the wires from the headlight switch to the dash? I'm not particularly sure but thats what I thought. First thing though, get those damn strobes out son.

i gott figure out how to get them out.... they are really rigged in there! with a switch on the bottom of the dash! and my windshield wipers only work sparaticly!

rip your whole dash and all the wiring out
and get new shit :)

actually, there just seems like theres a short somewhere or something isn't wired up right, or he disconnected something. Basically your left to trial and error, or so it seems as far as fixing it.

Or you could go even more ricer rigged, and throw some of those "type s" dash lights you can buy at autozone in there and have those as your dash lights connected to, yes, another switch. Or your fusebox.

im tryin to unrice the car...lol... i wanna do the stuff right.. i was gonna put my gsr dash from my other car in it but i thought it would be too much trouble but... i guess this is jus as bad!

well then as far as I know for doing it right, figure out how to get those lights out, find the short or disconnected wire, and fix it.

better yet, find that guy and make his ass do all of it

also, it sounds like a ground might not be connected, i had a simmilar prob when i cut out my back deck to put in 4 6x9 speakers, i forgot to reconect the ground and my lights wouldnt work at all, just a thought to check out

i wish i could! He put the wrong coil overs on the car now its literally 2 inches from the ground and up as high as it will go. i found out that they are made for an eclipse. and he was there when i tried to get it raised up and he was just laughing at me the whole time bc i was made. but i found out that the car he put a down payment on with the money i gave him is a POS.. its an automatic turbo eclipse!

I don't know how you put the wrong coilovers on a car, I don't see how they'll fit. I know that you can buy the cheap ebay shit and just throw those on and you'll sit a couple inches off the ground, but thats because its only the spring park of the coilover.

and he put a DOWNPAYMENT on autoturbo eclipse? either you didn't pay shit for your civic or he likes wasting a lot of money.

Shoot him. Make him fix your shit first, then shoot him.

i dont know how he did the coilovers wrong.

yea he put a down payment on a convertible automatic turbo eclipse. and it makes me feel so good inside to know that even tho im having these problems with my car... his car is always breaking down.. always back up at the dealership needing to be fixed. I am real good friends with the service department manager so thats how i know his car is a POS!

you might want to take the gauge cluster out and make sure there are bulbs in there to begin with

if its not missing bulbs you're gonna need to invest some time tracing wiring and switches
the first one i'd try is the dimmer switch to turn the dash lights up and down
you can pop that out and bypass the switch and see if they come on
i've seen those go bad
