just swap the engines thats all use existing wiring or use the wiring with the b16 engine they should match up the same should have no probs with that same tranny and all mounts evrything should bolt on

i wud love for that to happen i got my fingers crosss i thought i had to buy different mounts, axles everything

d14 is a 1400cc\16v sohc and non vtec engine that come with the 96 honda civic out of the uk

Engines

u can get all te info of every engine eva manufactured by honda from the web site

lolz well here in the uk there are a few i mean i had a 1.3 civic dx hatch on a 1994 plate 1300cc engine suprised ? lolz

as i was saying axels mounts they should all be the same even the gearbox well i fink ur existing tranny would mate just fyn the only prob with the uk spec 96 civic d16 engine tranny is the gears are tooo long and you wont be able to have fun unless its lyk evry 2 mins when you change the gears lolzzzzz

check my b18c4 swap slide pics you can see what i've dont lolz well what i've put in but to put in a B series engine u gotta change the tranny axels mounts and should come with the engine oh and not to 4get the shift linkages lolz

I wouldn't be so quick on that one. I have a d14z1 and d14z2 (the difference being a restrictor plate in the thottle body) and that site makes no mention of either, much less any ODB2 engine smaller than 1.5.

I've found that most "Complete Honda Engine Guides" make no mention of euro-spec engine, it makes it a little harder to do a mini-me on one. ;)

well im my civic 95 lsi i had a d15b7 i just changed the engine to a d16y7 and evryfin ran perfect with the d15b7 ecu no difference apart frm more power and quicker acceleration than the d15b7

that b18c4 mussi get up in the number quite fast

i jus hope this swap i lookin to do, dont be nuff stress

so u tell me the only thing i gain got to do is worry bout the shift linkages

you shift linkages should be ok coz i had my d16 on a s20 tranny which was perfect so you dont need to worry about anything really

Ok, enough of the misinformation.

NO your d-series tranny will not work with a b16.
You'll need a b-series tranny. On top of that, heres a list of other stuff you'll need.
T-Bracket from 99-00 Si
Driver side upper mount from 99-00 Si
B-Series shift linkage
B16 ECU
You'll need to run a wire for the vtec solenoid, and knock sensor I believe
Throttle cable will most likely need to be changed, or the mounting bracket altered. I had to do that with mine. Anyway, do some searching. You will learn alot. Good luck.
