Haha my car does that 2, i noticed i had a brand new battery then it was fine and car started good first day, the alternator charge the battery good 2.
After 2 days i went to start it and it was dead.
I found out it was the seatbelt lock actuator thing inside the right door.
I know this cause when i unplug the harness the power from it, the actuator thing unlatches, and when i plug it in it latches, so its using power when its not supossed to.
I unplugged it and my battery hasent gone dead since.
So im wondering..Is the solenoid supossed to latch up all the time? Because it does and its killing my batt. Now i dont want to get in a wreck and have the passenger hurt because its not plug in, so im wondering if its just defective since this car has been in an accident.
Can somone please check it out for me?
Also what triggers the soleniods to lock the belts when you get into an accendent, so i can check that and see if thats the problem, and not the door actuator.
This is on a 91 civic si hatch.
Thanks.
Oh yea and when it is plugged in, the dorr light stays on, even if all doors are closed.
This is all with the key off and out the ignition. besides the door light.
All i need is somone to take the door pannel off and check it out for me.
