I have had my swap and have had it runnig for a about 4 months and my vtec doesnt work i need a new knock sensor but i want it faster i want to get it to 200 horse with bolt-ons is that possable?

+15hp to the wheels.

fix your knock sensor before worrying about mods.

well, there are a hundred types of cams. if it's ONLY cams, you wont get that much. if you do a whole head job (which will cost about $2k) you will gain more. the other things don't add much.

"I have a stock B16. If I put I/H/E can I make 200whp??"

... It just cracks me up...
ya, normally i don't reply to these. i don't know why i did on this.

someone has got to do it.. and the n00bs giving out misinformation aren't the ones

you guy make me sick all i want is to know about the parts I dont have all the money in the world to build a head our block but i know that real racers have diffrent ways of making power 40 hp isnt that much to make and i didnt know what all was out there im not a noob i been working on hondas for years and build them in the plants I just dont want turbo or nos to reach 200

well, getting a b16 to 200hp is impossible with bolt ons only. if you don't "have all the money in the world", save your money. the last thing you need to do is waste it on car parts. plus, if you spend all the money you do have, you aren't going to be able to fix it if something breaks. save your lunch money for a rainy day.

and 40 hp is a lot to make. because the 160hp b16's claim to make, is at the flywheel, not the wheels. they put down about 130hp to the wheels and garbage for tq. just an fyi, the mods you wanted, (throttle body, ignition, and such) and garbage. they are only parts needed for extreme amounts of hp. it would be pointless for you to buy them. if you must buy something. get an ebay intake, buy an ebay header, get a used exhaust (2.25" nothing bigger) and get a good suspension and brakes. i guarantee i can smash on 90% of cars that are faster because i'm a better driver. learn your car and you'll realize power isn't a guaranteed winner.
you dont need to talk bad
toughen up little soldier. this is the internet. nobody is going to be nice.

well you right but i guees I had High hopes what can i say dream high right
i know i'm right. but the thing is, when i was 21, i was in the air force. i didn't make shit. i had a b16 coupe. it was quick, but nowhere near 200hp. i smashed on people all the time.

there are easy ways to get faster. strip out the interior, make it lighter. get a cheap intake, header, exhaust. with everything else you are going to need more money. keep it simple and easy. get some good tires and you'll be fine. if you want some respect, get on a road track and be a fast driver. 1/4 mile is gay and street racing is illegal. it might not sound cool, but people on the track have a lot more respect for a good driver than a car with a lot of power.

I get that im going to get the cheap parts but i guess i was being greedy its fast i just wanted more but thanks for the advice i havent taken this car to the track yet and i dont think i can this season its not ready yet

i don't know what shape the motor is in, but often the best way to get power out of a motor is to tune it up.

get a new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, change the oil and tranny fluid. get a new air filter. just stick with the oem stuff and i guarantee you that you will feel a difference in how the power feels.
