i got a 98 acura integra ls turbo. the motor is completly built. the block is boared out .30 over i have low compression forged stp pistons eagle rods a ported and polished head with ferrera valves dual springs and titanium retainers i had stage 2 turbo crower cams but i cracked the exhaust one (dont ask) i have a stock fuel rail with a fuel pressure regulator on it 550 rc injectors and an xs power turbo kit, yes i already know its trash, but its all i got right now unless anyone has a cheap decent turbo. so want to know how much boost i can run?, by the way the turbo is a t3/t4 .60 trim. the block isnt sleeved but i do have a block gaurd on it. i basically want to know how much i can do without blowing it up. right now im only runnig 6lbs of boost, and yes its tuned. one more thing. if any body has a good clutch they want to sell let me know mine is slipping.

well, don't boost until you fix your clutch. more power will just blow it sooner.

the amount you can boost is directly related to your tune. if you are tuned for 6psi, you can't just turn up your boost controller and expect it to run correctly.

what are you using to control the boost? what tune are you using? if you want to run more boost, put your car on a dyno and tune for the boost that you set it up to.

yea thats what i did i had it dyno tunned i think he used chrome but i could be wrong. it only dynoed an emberracing 200hp/175tq one 6lbs. of boost. with all the money i put in it i was expecting a little more

well, there are a few options.

1) new turbo
2) new tuner
3) new engine

6 psi and getting 200 hp is pretty good. the rule of thumb is 10hp per 1psi. so you are beating the numbers here. i would be happy with that if i was you.

haha yea i dont think those are options. im so broke right now i can bearly afford gas. but im pretty sure that in do time i AM going to need a turbo. but how much boost can i run in the mean time with my setup.

listen man, if you can't afford a new tune, the amount of boost you run doesn't matter. your car WILL blow up. am i missing something here? do you have a magical boost up button?

also, if you have a conservative tune, you will have a more reliable motor. don't turn the boost up if you can't afford to fix shit if it breaks.

yea good point. it just sucks waiting this long to start making real horse power. one more question though, im taking the car to the track tonight and considering the fact i have a built block and head. how hi can i rev my car? the guy who tunned my car told me that i could go up to 8400 with all the work done to the head, but then again thats when i had the crower cams on there, so what now, does it matter? just curiouse. thanks

what all do you have done to the head? also, how high does your power go? if you stop making power at 7800 rpm, it doesn't do any good to go higher. i know it sucks having to be patient. shit, i still don't have the car/power i want and i'm 27. it's never enough. be happy you have something reliable and reasonably fast.

yeah thats true its just i guess you always want more, but any ways, i got arp head studs port and polish, ferrera valves dual springs and titanium retainers. i got a stock intake manifold and stock ignition system. i HAD the stage 2 crower cams but like i said the exahust one cracked
