actually one of my mags from 04 ( motor trend or some shit ) was saying they was supposed to bring it back in 05 same with the supra, maybe they both got put off?

ill believe it when i see it in a dealership

until then i still say :bs:

hmm.. who was saying they'd never bring the CRX back..

Either way, its not a CRX.

Its just going to be a lightweight, fuel efficient, hybrid - so basically its an Insight.

Besides, that thing looks like that retard from starwars... Down syndrome / Crosseyed.

I hope this isn't really the next crx.. Its fugly. And hybrid.. :puke:

Remember phyr that it's a concept car, I'm sure the final design will be much more conservative. I read an article that said they were planning on an '09 release. Now what I really want to know is:

How does it handle and will a K-series fit in the engine bay? I doubt the stock motor will have anything resembling performance seeing as how they're more interested in green than go right now.

Oh yeah, that gauge cluster is fugly.

Ive been seeing the same thing for the past few years, same thing with the skyline. If I can go touch it on a lot here in the US of A then I shall believe it.

look like a retarded Mercedes hatch.

CRZ.. WTF..
Agreed another insight and an insult to the crx.
Not like they were really fast in the US to start with.

Who knows. Maybe it will look better in production.

i bet it's gonna end up with some sort of variation on the K or R-series engine; prolly around 1.6L with a hybrid electric motor. my 2 cents.

What happened to the CR-Y?

"All new, for 2008. The Honda CR-Y. With an 8 speaker stereo, you can listen to Depeche Mode, My Chemical Romance, or your favorite slam poetry in surround sound. Coupled with it's custom 'gloom and doom' tearing gauges and pierced fenders, it completes the new Emo generation.

Honda: Looking to the future, weeping about the past"

Why would any company release a car called the CRY ?

I never looked at it like that.

I WANT AN EMO CAR!!!
But more importantly, does it get a flat tire when it cuts itself.

I actually like it. Id buy it if it came out exactly like that. Dont be fooled though. Usually, when honda says sports car, they deliver a HONDA sports car.

While it might not have 400HP or track day suspension, it will, more than likely, have 180+ horsepower and decent suspension.

I dont know why everyone thinks hybrid mean no power...look at lexus LS 600h...you get a good engine, and a tax write off cause you own a hybrid...win win...except that car is about $100k

im intrigued.

i actually read an article today about a new crx being designed, but most people still favored the old body style over any concepts that have been released. according to the article they are going to pretty much base it off of the ef body style, but it will probably end up a hybrid. i like the car in that link... but the center console/dash is ugly as shit... kinda reminds me of cortana from halo.

2007 Tokyo Auto Show Preview: Honda CR-Z
Just got some better pictures.
Looks a little better being able to see more of the angles. looks far better than the Insight.
I'm one for more hybrids, I wonder if Japan will see a rear seat though?

having owned a hybrid... i have come to the oppinion, FUCK HYBRIDS

they have decent power and excelent gas milage... but they also have a lifespan... and if you wear out or break anything in the hybrid system get ready to grab your ankles
replacing the IMA system on an insight is up around $10,000.00
the battery alone is about $2000.00
the cat is $1200.00 and it burns out extra quick because the engine runs so lean (hot)

hybrids are great as long as you can sell or total the car while its still worth something
the great feeling of getting 60mpg is effectively offset knowing that the check engine light that is glowing in your face is going to cost you no less than $1200.00 to repair... and it is further deminished by the knowlege that with 135000 miles your cars IMA system is waiting to shit itself at any given moment, and if it does your super cool eco-box isnt worth its recycled weight for its aluminum body... and that while idiots might be willing to pay $12000.00 for a used 2000 with 135000 miles on it they wont pay dick for that car with a CEL or a dead IMA system

the car was cool and i loved it for 90% of our relationship... but as it neared its end my love turned into a blinding fear that i was going to be stuck with a $10000.00 paperweight

i will not buy another hybrid vehicle unless its IMA syste has a lifetime warranty

and buying a new hybrid is just stupid unless you are planning to spend $XXXXXX on a car and the hybrid happens to fall into that price point
when i ought mine i was looking for a small efficient car and i was willing to spend $10000.00 the insight fit that price point and was the most efficient in the world at the time... i bought it and i thouroughly enjoyed it... but i am glad that i totaled it while it was still worth something

anyone considering a hybrid should do some serious research and run the numbers first to see if they really are going to save anything or if they are going to end up getting fucked over in the long run
