soooo i got a 1990 dx but... it has a d16zc i have never heard of this motor how do i find out about it???? is it vtec? whats the hp rating.
 
There is no "D16ZC." The block will either be stamped "D16xx" where xx can be pretty much any combination of a letter and number, or "ZC" which means that it's an actual ZC engine. Look under the hood and check.
 
heres a pic it is a jdm motor, it was swap'd by the previous owner and it is stamped d16ZC

I have seen this king of engine before it is the JDM SOHC CZ it is true the stamp will say D16ZC.
I found this pic online, but the cover looks different from yours.

It still just says code:ZC though.. please take a picture of the stamp I've never seen one of those before. I'm not saying you're lying I just would like to see the stamp.
