F23A1 SOHC to DOHC?

All will work, it all depends on the app, whether you want vtec or not, and running boost or all motor. What are your intentions with the car. Right now you have a sohc vtec. To keep the vtec you have to go with the h22 head. Which isnt a walk in the park swap. But has been done. If you wanted to make it simple, you can use the f22b dohc non vtec , or the h23 dohc non vtec. That swap is alot easier and can be done in a day. I see no point of the head swap unless you have a bottom end built. Or atleast running boost. Your not going to get hp numbers with either of the head swap. I have seen people mill the shit out of heads and raised the CR and got a little bit more torque.

Alrighty, well I clearly don't have a full understanding of what all is goin on, but I have seen other people asking about it, so the benefits in doing so would be sparce? (and as I understand very circumstantial) As for my own app, I suppose I would be in preferene to vtech and all motor, I suppose maybe boost later, but I really have no need on this car, a little torgue never hurt anyone, but I'm guessing what you are suggesting is its not really worth it for time and I'm guessing funds as well. Would converting it to DOHC vtech raise redline/extend powerband? And what could the redline be if this F23A1 is tuned properly, this question I only ask, because I havn't had a chance to talk to the mechanic who built it, and frankly I don't know what it is.
