Thought I would give you all a heads up in the New York, Vermont and New Hampshire area. New's has come to me threw my dad who is an ex Sherif that Next year of 08 New York, Vermont and New Hampshire are putting a law on Modiffied exausts on Bikes.. They can only be so loud at sertan times of the night. Also inadition New York is planning on putting a band on modified Exausts on Cars from running from some time in the eveing till moring hours. If anyone hears more of this let us all know....

Maryland you cannot mod your car outside of OEM specs period! I think most stays have it written in the law like that but no one enforces it unless you're in CA.

Loud exhaust tickets are nothing new. Not just maryland, anywhere.

^ doesnt matter - in certain parts of MA, you will get a ticket anyways.

Mass sucks as far as anything fun, interesting or mildly entertaining goes. If you're having fun, chances are it's illegal in MA. Unless you're gay.

I've been harassed many times for having foglights on and having a loud exhaust. Do I get tickets? No. Maybe I'm just lucky. Don't drive like a moron and chances are cops will never pay any attention.Bikes generally get away easy, along with muscle cars and diesels. Compacts and Euros get shafted.
 
Muscles and Trucks get the shaft up here along with Rice cars as they call them... sigh*

Vermont Blows... anyone got a good state to move 2?
 
I was harassed before about the exhaust on my Civic. I didn't get a ticket. I had a Dynomax bullet on my last truck. My truck would shake my condo when I started it. This thing was loud and I never got pulled over for it. Even in my snobby town. I remember Bob Vila telling me when he had his civic with the loud exhaust he got pulled over for his exhaust and the cop waved at an older mustang with a louder exhaust while he was ticketing him.

Exhaust laws for the lose. I hear all the Mass guys complain about tickets, but I drive through there 4 times a week and I rarely see anyone pulled over. I make most of my time through MA. I also love how every flies through the work zones and the cops don't give a shit.
