I have just completed my turbo project on my 93' hatch. It is a homemade(14b/turbo) and now I need exhaust. I still have the stock piping, any ideas on the size or brand. I was thinking Skunk2 but I was also thinking of jsut making my own. Should I go 2.5" or 3"? Also Should I get a test pipe or leave the catalytic in place?? Any experience here would be greatly appreciated.........thanks

I would go 3" deffinetly. I know for around 300-600 you can go from an HKS , Mushen, Skunk or Manga Flow system for ya car from the Cat back. Just some ideas to look into.

As in have the exaust come right out before the catolac Converter, and just be loud as hell.. hehe!

see what i dont understand is everyone says "yah go with a 3" exhaust" but i just dont see the point when the turbo outlet is only 2.5 to have a extra 1/4" on either side of the pipe. can someone help me out there?

Basically, you want to evacuate the exhaust gases with as little restriction as possible.
3 inch will have less restriction even if the turbo's outlet is only 2.5

Get a 2.5" catback. Mine is a Tsudo.Leave the cat in there. Then make a custom open 3" down pipe with a cut-out(manual or electronic) and 2.5" tubing back to the cat. Sounds confusing but just look at the set-up on this car HMT's Turbo Kia done...
