My oil pan is leaking around the plug and is probably needing replacement. I figured that I might as well upgrade since I will be changing pans. Does anyone have a moroso oil pan? I was wondering if it hangs down lower than the stock pan. It is for a b16a.

well, seeing that its a race oil pan .. i'd assume there would be more clearance underneath the car over the stock oil pan.. i dont have one so i dont know for sure

Thanks for your response, I know when they first came out that people had problems with leaking but they have since made a street type one in steel. Just dont want to be changing it again. By the way the model is 20911. If anyone has a stock pan laying around, measure it at the drain plug bottom to top and get back to me please. Thanks again eg6sir. Good luck on your paint project!

moroso steel road race pan FTW! i love it.

dont get that aluminum one. it uses a different oil pickup where the road race pan uses the stock one. and its much stronger.

So I take it you have one? Does it leak at all? How good is the magnetic drain plug? I heard it leaks after a while. How many miles are on yours?

yes i have one, doesnt leak a drop. probably like 300-500 miles on it right now. not really keeping track.

I thought this might be worth mentioning. Everytime the oil drain plug is removed the gasket needs to be replaced or it will leak. Ask around!

On the stock oil pan? or the Moroso 1?

I have a stock, and a freind just got a moroso... and the stock never replaced it and she don't leak a drop in 10 changes. :)

i have a moroso oil pan on my gsr swapped eg and the car is lowered 3 inches and has plenty of clearance between the ground and the oil pan...my problem is in the turbo downpipe being so low
