Hello, I just put in a zc engine into my 89 crx, i have all the wiring harness and obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. I got my buddy to get me a p28 computer for the car but he send me a obd2 p75 computer. Can some one tell me what is another computer i can use. The vtec will be ran through a vtec controller.

Thanks

I don't think he said his DOHC ZC had "vtech," did he?

It's "vtec" by the way.

As for the original question, unless you need the car running right now I'd just keep looking for another P28. My preference would always be to use an appropriate ECU to control VTEC, rather than some kind of piggyback device.

You're right, there isn't a VTEC DOHC ZC. That's what I'm saying, ch1nky's comment was completely irrelevant and off-topic. The OP is asking which ECU he needs for his single-cam VTEC ZC, and then the other guy made some comment about running a P06 on his dual-cam ZC.

As for spelling VTEC, just keep in mind that it's not referring to "tech," like "high-tech," but rather it's an acronym; each letter stands for something.

well if you know that there is no dohc zc vtec then im just letting him know which ecu to use that wud work on a obd1 dohc zc

Unless the honda/acura motor list on this site is outdated I dont see a sohc vtec ZC motor.

Then its not a ZC, its a d16z6. Unless I see a block stamp of a sohc vtec stampted ZC then to me there is no sohc vtec zc.

this is a SOHC VTEC ZC (valve cover from factory is black) - all SOHC VTEC ZCs have serial number starting with '7' - we have swapped several of them
