I have a 91 CRX DX, im just about to swap in the b16a but i heard that im going to need an SI harness. I have the stock SIR harness that came with the motor. Will i be able to use the stock SIR harness? Any knowledge will be appreciated.

Nope, the stock SIR harness is RHD

The SiR harness will not work. You need to use the DX harness and modify accordingly. The Effin Guide to MPFI swaps

Then you will need to wire up VTEC, the knock sensor, and the 2nd o2 HondaSwap Forums

You will need the injector plugs, knock sensor plug, vtec plugs, and 2nd o2 plug from the SiR harness. Other than that, the SiR harness is no good to you unless your current harness has some cracked or broken plugs that you want/need to replace.

man, thanks for the advise guys. I was able to come upon an SI harness. It seems likes the swap would be easier with an SI harness rather than crimping and cutting up my DX harness. If I decide to go with the SI harness will i have to do any wire work? If my dilemma seems a bit noobish, my bad, this is my first swap.

The Si harness won't work for you because the big shock tower plugs on the DX and Si are different so the Si harness won't plug into your car.

As a rule of thumb with ANY swap you do, you stick with the harness that came with/in the car. It makes things a million times easier.

what OBD is the engine and ECU? Try this Rywire - Online Store

all 88-91's are obd0 car's...my guess is he's either running an obd0 pr3 unless he got the jumper from obd0-obd1. But def. a good suggestion for Rywire

I started with a 91 civic si and used the si harness on the B engine I swapped in. The injectors leads where short but I got it to fit. for ease I ordered the knock and vtec harness from Rywire also.
