I felt it real good in Fremont. I'm about 15 miles from the epicenter. Lasted quite a while too, my cat was freaking out. LOL

It was hilarious, I live in TN but I was playing a guy on xbox live in halo and he said he felt it but only had a 2-day subscription and halo was more important, so he kept playing. WOW

I laughed my ass off, I guess if you live in cali long enough, its just another normal thing that goes on....i've been there a few times but have never felt one, I wouldn't mind feeling it as long as I was in a safe environment where at least heavy shit couldn't fall on me.

That's kind of true.. I used to live in Southern Cali when I was younger and there would be a good size earthquake like that one at least 1-2 times a year. I've only felt 1 little one in the 10+ years I've been up here :D

Yeah I have family that used to live right beside LAX in el segundo, beautiful place. They moved to lake tahoe though, just tired of LA I guess...they had lived there for at least 20 yrs.

I want to experience an earthquake! In a safe location of course.

People on the west coast are freaked out about tornadoes but they're common here... Folks here are freaked out about earthquakes but they're common over there. :)

I was playing FFXI while it happened. 5 isn't big. I slept through a 6 once. It's nothing to freak out about unless it's a rocker and it's 7.x or so. This one was more of a rolling feeling, which doesn't jossel shit around as much. I don't see why it was such a big deal for him to keep playing xbox. I didn't run outside or anything. If it had progressed and gotten worse, maybe.

I actually enjoy earthquakes. Most are 'normal' like those. It's the ones that release too much pressure that you have to worry about.

If the experts are correct Chi town may very well feel an earth quake. There are fault lines that run through the mid west and they say it is just a matter of time.

All the way where you're at it didn't feel like much. Being with 10 min of the epicenter like I was, it was a jolting feeling. What 6 did you sleep through? This is the biggest one since 89.

i think you 'fornians are f!king crazy; holy balls i've never felt the earth move and i don't want to.

It's not that big of a deal really.. well I guess if you've never felt one before it might be kind of scary. But most of the earthquakes aren't strong enough to actually do any serious damage *knocks on wood*.

They have a really cool earthquake simulator at the Exploratorium in San Francisco that simulates some of the really big ones. I could barely stay on my feet when they did the one that replicated the 1906 SF earthquake it was crazy!
